Thing is when deciding which eroge I'll play or read I base my decision mostly on covers and in-game images hence the importance of graphics.

Though once playing/reading its the story and/or the characters that keep me going, that being said I struggle to tolerate games with crappy graphics.

I almost got caught a couple of times, the first time when i was relatively new to eroges and my mom walked in. I freaked out and pressed the manual restart button on my tower then pretended to be angry at my computer playing it off as some software problem

Let's see, I haven't actually played many eroge with childhood friends, but...One, Shuffle, Kanon, Amaane Makai Princess Eris, Minna de Nyan Nyan. They're all codependent or super humble.

 

I'd be more curious to know which games you've played where the childhood friend is independent and has a semi-interesting personality.

Both versions of childhood friend archetypes are common, the tsundere ones can be found in Muv-Luv, Snow Sakura, Ef- a fairy tale of the two, Bible black and Sharin no kuni (Natsumi is both i guess).

Peronsally i like both, ultimately they go dere dere so no difference in the end.

@Olaf : Did you apply that theory to the Fallout games? Then you sir deserve a medal, I gave up after putting in 80 hours into Fallout new vegas and all its DLC's.

Anyways back on topic, I was originally a completionist but over time got flooded by the amount of titles and become a pragmatist. I target the main heroine/true end and if i like the game do the rest otherwise drop it and move on.

Gilgamesh acted as a foil to Saber, in that sense he highlighted everything you love about Saber.

Pretty soldiers war? I'm suprised you had the patience to push through that game, the fact that you had to click each time an attack occured and that everyone misses non-stop meant excruciatingly long battles.
