Well Clannad was good but classing VN's is such a hugely subjective task, I played Clannad rather later essentially after all the games on that list and hence I didnt feel as much of an impact as say G Senjou no Maou my third VN.

Well duh i prefer human translation too, but not every game is translated to english. And to play these untranslated ones you can either use some kinda translator or learn japanese.

As a gamer and someone who was rapidly becoming attuend to the opposite sex these two aspects combined into me playing my first eroge, Sengoku Rance. I'll never forget those moments, only after a few minutes in i was blown away by this "world" and the logic inside of it apparently rape is ok if the woman enjoys it (lol). So after being totally brainwashed by Rance i wnt on eroge and VN binge, i think i've completed about 20+ titles.
