I am also cautiously optimistic about the Rance translations. It really sorta became a perfect storm of the many disparate Rance projects coming together under the whale god. There are now 3 separate translators each having some technical people of their own plus as far as I'm aware most of the hgtp technical people, image editors, etc. joined in with Roven-pan even before hgtp became totally defunct. So I actually believe they have the resources to deliver what is promised. If the translators predictions hold out we will be getting 5,6, and maybe 3 by the end of the year, With 5 finishin

It has two extra disks one of which is simply an appendix the other being a gaiden thus would take longer to translate than the first extra disk. Rance "secret" project is 5d 100% sure. they're not even bothering to hide it on 4chan anymore. Apparently they expect it to be done in a couple weeks with 6 being done before the year is out, they will then move onto quest. 3 has a separate translator who is only working in conjunction with them to shore up consistency they expect 3 to be done within the year as well. As for Aroduc I'm just about pulling my hair out at this point. Gay/bisexual dudes and perhaps some straight women who are into yaoi (apparently they do exist) will buy the game and I would also venture it was them that the game was translated for. The group translating that game is one that specifically deals with yaoi so you would probably be equally unhappy with any of there choices regardless of the quality of the game chosen. Loved Eien no Aselia, an excellent example of an "all ages" version done right. I'm always a little worried that all ages version will botch things but they can still impart the intended emotional significance through dialogue. Usually by turning the sex scene into something more innocent or using a kind of before and after type transition while glossing over the actual event. The posts at seiha always said "Extra Disk" I got caught up in the assumption that the first was an append disc, sorry if I mislead anyone. Imo it's still likely the case but you're absolutely right we don't know for sure.

Well I'm not done guessing, and if it is indeed a Eushully game the only realistic option anymore is Ikusa Megami VERITA. Imo it seems likely to be the one at this point. Assuming any of what seiha has been posting can be taken seriously of course. If the whole thing about chapters and append disks was just nonsense then it could still be anything, but for now my money is on VERITA with relative confidence.

Pretty sure Rance translations secret project is Kichikuou Rance. They discussed translating it before in the Rance general thread on /vg/ and more importantly Super God Roven-Pan has posted a translated image I'm 90% sure is from Kichikuou and basically admitted they were translating it earlier on. The other possibility is Rance 5D - Hitoribocchi no Onna no Ko - because Roven-Pan has posted a translated image from that as well and it is relatively short so quick progress is possible, but given his comments I think Kichikuou is more likely. You can always read his comments and decide

We don't know what he means by "Extra Disk" though. It may be a Fandisc, an update with extra content or a expansion. Alicesoft never really expanded there games either before RQ Magnum, so it could be a similar kind of one off from a dev that does not routinely do that kind of thing.

Yeah that's the issue, we have only assumptions to go on and the only one that is really concrete is that there will be gameplay of some kind. Personally I still think it may be Material Brave. I have no good reason for that assertion but ever since he teased the title "immaterial brave" that game has just stuck out to me as a genuine possibility. My other thought is that given his history this may well be a game with no H content whatsoever. Interesting you should say that. Earlier on also going on the assumption that it was an Eushully game I thought it would be Ikusa Megami Zero. That game also has an appendix disk and it's relatively new but chronologically first in the series, so IMO it would be the logical place to start. You could be right however and Aroduc may have chosen VERITA as it does look like a much better game. My only problem is with the assumption that it is a Eushully title, he has been teasing games from a variety of developers and I have heard no reason to believe that it's more likely to be a Eushully game

Seiha translations just updated Shinobi Ryu Complete! --> Extra Disk #1 So I guess no release this week or for a while depending on length and number of "extra disks". So does any of this give the more knowledgeable people amongst us any clues as to what the game may be? As "Shinobi Ryu" aka Shinobi Ryuu is probably just another troll attempt.

Is anyone else not curious about what's going on with Aroducs secret project right now? He managed to translate over 4000 lines last time leaving him with only 5650 left. As I understand it he has people editing as he goes and the seiha translations forum is normally updated by now, am I the only one thinking we may be getting the release this week? or am I just being overly optimistic?
