Lux-Pain

Lux-Pain.jpg.f7c5cac69a8e83670f70844f1ec1e729.jpg

Lux-Pain is set in the historical Kisaragi City, a town plagued by mysteries from small mishaps to murders - with no logical explanation as to why these events occur. It seems "Silent", a worm born through hate and sadness, has infected humans and forced them to commit atrocious crimes. The heroes' parents, Atsuki, are the victim of such crimes. To avenge his parents, Atsuki goes through a dangerous operation to acquire Lux-Pain in his left arm, a power so strong that it turns his right eye golden when using it to seek and destroy Silent for good.

I actually bought this game about a year ago. It's quite enjoyable, and it used the DS's stylus in an interesting way for discovering clues and fighting bosses. It should be noted thought that you will not get every conversation in the game in the first try. Some events are turn limited, and usually, those events are the special ones that determine how the game branches or how well that certain person trusts you. Overall, it's a fun game for those who like psychological mysteries with some supernatural spice on top.

Aah, you finally uploaded it, not a very bad DS VN... But one of 'so many missed chances' IMO. Could have been so much more~ Anyhow if you don't mind a bad translation and do like dark themes, it's certainly worth trying out!

Anyone else having trouble with the sound? Game sounds fine except for the cut scenes , when people are talking or the opening video.

It's not a bad game but the translation of the official US release was really bad. Is this a re-translation or is this the original US release?

Agreed. The translation was really bad, but for some reason the spoken parts were well done. The voices would actually say coherent and understandable things that kept you interested, but the text would be completely off. In fact, the voice actors took matters into their own hands to have the characters say intelligent things in contrast to the bad text. Voice actors-1 Translators-0
