So, remember last year Records of Agarest War was released on steam, well, the prequel got released too!!

Long before Summerill and the gods of darkness were defeated in Record of Agarest War, another battle was fought across generations to save the world from evil. Record of Agarest War Zero takes you back to that ancient time…

The war between the forces of darkness and the forces of light, a conflict already many years old, has been fought to a stalemate. In the nation of Kraltarla, the forces of light hold back the evil hordes of darkness spilling from Findeste at the Scarred Mountains, but only just. In a desperate attempt to gain an advantage that could change the course of the war, the generals of the armies of light dispatch their loyal servant Sieghart, whom fate has seen fit to grant a strange and awesome power. Sieghart’s mission takes him across Kraltarla to gather the components for a magical tool that can free the imprisoned blacksmith of the gods, so that he might forge magical artifacts of great and terrible power for the forces of light.

If you can, support more J-RPGs coming to PC by buying this game.

Which one should I play first? according to wikipedia Records of Agarest War is the sequel, but it was released before Zero.

Damn it! so many good games coming out and so little time to play...I guess I'll try these JRPGS after reading Ayakashibito and Air.

Agarest: Generations of War is so boring, worst JRPG I have ever seen and i don't think Zero is better.

Mb someday, someone will translate Eushully's VN and i'm gonna pay for it 10 - 30$ or more - just because it's worth.

Too bad I already own all the currently released Agarest games (even the one on PSP) otherwise I would have bought these PC releases. Still Agarest games are good and I recommend them to everyone (Maybe not the one on PSP, I didn't really enjoy playing this one plus the art isn't to my taste.).

I've been playing Bravely Default, but I'm thinking about getting into the Etrian Odyssey series since #4 just came out.... anyone got scoop on whether it's good or not? I loved the Persona, Devil Survivor, and Shin Megami series.

I never liked first person dungeon crawlers, but I got Etrian Odyssey : Millenium Girl and I absolutely loved it.Everything about the game is good, and the story is on the right measure to go well with the game play.I'm not sure wether I'd like the other games though because I usually don't like that kinda story with no "fix" characters, though I'm sure the gameplay is just as awesome for all the other games in the series.

Persona 1 was first person, but then the rest of the series went back to third person stuff, which was great. Persona 2 was fantastic, and 3 was great too...

You should really try Bravely Default if you can then. Otherwise, look up an older atlus game called Luminous Arc. 1 + 2 are both in English, sadly #3 was never brought over though :/

There is a fan translation of #3 being worked on, not sure about the progress though

Oh if you're talking about the one that originated from the board on GameFAQs, I was actually on the original team for that (my job was to splice data to and from the game, not actual translation), but I know for a fact that they gave up after only finishing about 1/4 of it. If there is another group you know of working on it, let me know with a link plis :)
