https://twitter.com/dobacco/status/486377261679919104 I have so much more faith in these guys (Sekai Project)

And this PS Vita?????????? -LE FRUIT DE LA GRISAIA-??8?8??????????????????????????????Gamer is from the Vita version (taken from a topic on reddit). So all the perverted jokes and whatnot should be in the game itself as well, which is what this release will be based on.

"proposed 18+ solution" any clue what that means?

I'm actually not sure, other than the fact that it's a good thing. I mean, it's not going to have H-scenes obviously. Steam would never allow that - at least not fully shown H-scenes like in the PC version. Most likely the Vita-based game will count as 18+ over here because it still has a bunch of stuff like this in it. It still has the adult humor.

Either that, or maybe they'll include some nude sprites/CGs from the PC game (example). I think that's a possibility too. Bare nipples are already on Steam.

Steam does allow games to have nudity and sex scenes but they draw the line at something very explicit in the matter.

Witcher 2 is a great example for that as it does have a lot of nudity and sex scenes, even in the opening scene.

But how to make this in a visual novel AND in accordance to what goes or not on steam will be kind of tricky tbh.It will be interesting to see how they manage to pull this off,

Yea, and very explicit is what you get in typical VN sex scenes. You don't directly see any dicks entering vaginas in Witcher 2, unless I remember it wrong. It's just implied.

But yes, the nude sprites/CGs from the PC game should be possible to include. Everything except the sex scenes (unless they change them a bit), basically, which would still be more than what the Vita game has. But we'll just have to wait and see how far they'll go with it.

Not bad. Still, steam should really make up their mind about this sort of shit sooner or later. I can imagine that people from sekai project had to jump through a fuckton of hoops to get this approved. inb4 JAST's Family Project double bra.

That version is sexy in it's own way too, I don't feel any loss tbh.

I suspect the thing that bogs it down is determining localization b.s. - after all, anywhere Steam is active, it has to meet the legal requirements of said area, and block/allow/modify sale of a given product. A good example is Australia with their tight grip on censorship - some games sold in NA/Canada/other-parts-of-world are banned over there, or the games are modified so as to meet the regulations~ honestly just a bunch of legal hoops that not even steam wants probably.

There is nothing to "royally fuck up". It's just a matter of how much porn they're going to allow on there. What did you think they'd do exactly?

But that's exactly my point...

Amane's route is actually super-dependent on the sex scenes. At the end of the route she explains that the only reason she initially wanted to be with Yuuji was to make herself feel better, and the she did that through all of those scenes. That was the only reason she was attached to him in the FIRST place. If you remove those, you remove her route almost entirely, and the ending is downright nonexistent. Then there's Sakaki's route - while the sex scenes aren't AS important, they are the #1 reason for her personality change after they run away from the school. It's not that the route would be unplayable, but it would feel extremely weird even if it was your first time playing the game. Something would feel missing. Don't even get me started on Sachi's route... Michiru's route would survive, but it would be similar to Sakaki's. The only one I can picture surviving even remotely close to the feelings the original evoked would be Makina's... The point is, without those scenes a lot of the game is mutilated and it won't have as nice of a reception, especially with the people who have played the game in its original format.

They may just do a "fade to black" type deal; leave the obvious scenerios as-is, just without the graphic depictions or dirtytalk. I admit it would detract from Amane's to a point,

but there are still lots of ways for them to have her express her selfloathing.

EDIT: NM, i'm late to the party, info I found (about the tweet and vita pics) already outsourced by Harlequin afew pages back, heh.

All good, all good, but be sure to use a spoiler tag on the forums so people waiting to play the game don't have the punchline given away :)

Obv. you are right. Sex is the main point of any love relationship.

Guys we need to support this man's idea on this! H-SCENES ARE THE BEST, NO H-SCENES = SHIT

While I agree with you in the sense H-scenes are not the lifeblood of a good story, they do still express a mental/emotional aspect that cannot be depicted by any other means; and if you bothered to think about what he wrote, he did make some reasonable points regarding Amane's personality. Sure, I can see easy ways to move away from H-scenes and still maintain the character development - but that doesn't mean he was wrong either.

How about we keep on topic somewhat?

I only know his blog. He hasn't posted for a while, but that could mean anything. Translators sometimes just vanish.

2014-06-29 Was the last update at VNDB's history list (for updated English release info), of course, that doesn't mean anything - as anyone can update the database - but given he started it Dec 2012, and his last update was this past April - I think it's still okay to assume he hasent dropped it. If I remember right isn't it May or so when univeristy/college student finish school? Could be he just wants to chill for abit. :)

What? Can't you get em at the same place as your other "200" or "2.4TB" VN's?
