Program Needed for playing VN

i just reformat my laptop yesterday, and i want to dedicated it to playing VN alone.

so i was wondering, is there anything need to be installed ? video player maybe? ( for opening and ending clips)

I installed codecs, daemon tools, and changed admin into japan.

WinRAR to actually extract the files. Apart from that, you're golden.

hey, lately i cant see movie clips on some VN like gankthun or majikoi a2..

i wonder why? is it codec-related problem?

i tried installing the latest cccp codec, and K-lite codec.. but nothings work..

 

any suggestion?

You shouldn't install both at the same time since they might conflict with each other, if you did that try uninstalling one of them and try again. If you are at least on windows 7 you can use the in built tool to mount iso files. Be careful with daemon tools there was a scandal some time ago they put some crappy malware on the installer with no option to turn off.

make sure you got the basics installed: drivers for your hardwares..(graphics, motherboard, sound and etc)
