    • Shonan Saika Academy, a high-achieving all-girls school in Kanagawa Prefecture.

One day, Marin Tachibana, along with her best friends Mashiro Saotome and Kiyoka Jinguji, experiences a special day.

It begins with meeting an unusual new transfer student, Shizuku Kujyo.

A beautiful girl with a calm and dignified demeanor.

Meeting her feels like déjà vu...

While showing her around the school, they stop by an observation deck, where Marin finds a four-leaf clover.

There is a tradition at this school:

If you press a four-leaf clover found on the observation deck into your student notebook, your wish will come true.

(I want to get closer to her. To spend more time with her...)

With this wish, Marin gives Shizuku the "coincidental" four-leaf clover she found.

This act becomes a turning point, bringing Marin and Shizuku closer together with the help of Mashiro and Kiyoka. However...

"Please, stop worrying about me. I don't want to just be protected..."

      "Shizuku, we're friends, right?"

A storm threatens to tear them apart.

It is deeply tied to a "secret" Shizuku is hiding and a "trauma" from Marin's past.

The story follows the growth, mutual support, and cherished memories of the four girls.

Will Marin and the others find their personal "clover" (happiness)?
    • At the Saint Michael Girls' School... festivities erupted among the girls of the annex. The reason for their celebration is the Best Couples poll being held at the main campus. The students at the annex, who look up to the girls from the main campus, decided, "Let's have our own Best Couples!"
      ...It was always inevitable.
And so, the fairest and most intimate couples were nominated...

The first couple is a pair of childhood friends, Misawa Nagisa and Takahata Rina. The second couple is a pair of twin sisters, Kimishima Ai and her younger sister Aya. And finally... The transfer student who saw this whole thing as no concern of hers, Onohara Hazuki, is shocked to hear that she too, was chosen to be among the Best Couples.

Moreover, her partner is the sheltered young debutante, Suoh Manami. Actually, Hazuki has secretly been crushing on the impeccable Manami... But the truth is, they're far from a couple, and while their classmates may cheer them on, it's all in vain.

But then... Hazuki works up all her courage to ask Manami to become a "Best Couple" with her, and...
    • After his grandmother passes away, Minato finds himself all alone, not knowing what to do next.

A rich girl his age offers to take responsibility for him, providing him a new home at the all-girls academy she runs. His options exhausted, he accepts his new school uniform – skirt, blouse, and all – and moves into the dorms at once.

It turns out his provider and dormmate, however, is a little off...

"Minato, I can’t find my change of panties... Guess I’ll be going commando for today."

"I’ll get you some, so stay right there! You can’t go out looking like that?!"

...Just who is taking care of whom exactly? Why does it feel like he’s the one adopting her?!
    • "Say, Sora"
"Okuribito may very well be considered the health teacher for Tamabito, don't you think?"

Kazami Sora travels with a young girl named Shirobana, who often blows soap bubbles and wears a straw hat around her neck. They are journeying to guide Tamabito, ghost-like beings, to their final resting place. Sora and those who share his solemn calling are referred to in select circles as 'Okuribito,' the soul guides.

But Sora's journey is fueled by a deeply personal quest.
He is searching for his sister, who passed away and became a Tamabito and is now missing. Sora's dearest sister, who raised him as if she were his parent, deserves to be peacefully escorted to her final resting place by his own hands.

      Then, this spring.
Sora and Shirobana find themselves in Saika Town during their travels. It's a tranquil countryside town known for its fields of dandelions and natural hot springs. They had learned from an acquaintance that this town attracts many Tamabito. Sora holds onto the hope that among them might be his lost sister.
They decide to stay at a hot spring inn. To cover their expenses, Sora uses his skills as an Okuribito to work temporarily as a school nurse at Saika Girls' Academy, where an acquaintance serves as the principal.

As the academy's health counselor, Sora forges bonds with the female students.
He offered a sympathetic ear through his role, providing counseling and emotional support.
Together with Shirobana, they unwittingly become the problem-solvers for various campus incidents.

The language of dandelions signifies sincere love.
      But also that of separation...
    • Ann Clements is terminally ill.

Born with an inoperable tumour in her temple, numerous doctors told her during her childhood that she wouldn’t survive into her adulthood.

Ann’s parents, regarding their frail and sickly young daughter as a hindrance, sent her away to a fancy all-girls’ boarding school, St Cecilia’s, located in the countryside at an early age: ostensibly so the country air could rejuvenate her but, in actuality, to get rid of her.

Ann’s future looked like a bleak, desolate thing – but, by some miracle, she defied both her doctors’ prognoses and her parents’ pessimism.

Ann is now nineteen years old, and her condition seems to have stabilised, despite her frequent headaches. Ann spent so much of her childhood, however, convinced that she would die before her eighteenth birthday that she has no plans, goals, or dreams, and no idea what to do with what remains of her life.

Feeling utterly lost, Ann decides to stay on at her school as an assistant teacher, where she takes care of the more challenging pupils.

Ann’s job is fulfilling enough, but the monotony of her daily routine isn’t enough to satisfy her. As her twentieth birthday approaches, Ann’s desire to experience more of the world beyond St Cecilia’s walls increases…

And then Ann meets St Cecilia’s new nurse, Asaba Kohaku.

Kohaku is everything Ann wishes she was: cool, confident, and fiercely independent.

Though initially afraid of the straight-talking Kohaku, a relationship slowly begins to blossom between Ann and the school nurse. Kohaku tells Ann a little bit about her past, and Ann opens up to her in turn. Eventually, Ann even begins to wonder whether Kohaku might not be the catalyst she needs to escape her self-imposed prison for good.
