  1. You had to crack it? I wasn't aware there was any DRM to go through.....?
  2. He shouldn't need japanese locale for this one, it was an official TL done through JAST after all so it shouldn't matter. I think the problem is that the game is very old now and has alot of issues running on current systems, I opened up my old files for it on my win 10 box just now and I can't for the life of me get it to run on any compatibility settings. If I come up with a solution I will post back here.
  3. You might have a bit of luck with Sara and Iris then. They are alot less orc&ogery than Asagi, and you can avoid most of that sort of stuff in them iirc (first scene in Iris you may want to skip). They are also more... lighter aswell, as in though don't feel as dark as Asagi. EDIT: Can't believe I forgot it, look up the Lightning Warrior Raidy series, they are pretty gameplay heavy but they may have what you want.
  4. Escalation is the only one I can really think of that has what your asking for. You would probably find a few H-RPGs with those sort of scenes in it though. Edit: The Taimanin Asagi series and its spin offs also has a few of those scenes, along with Space Pirate Sara, Armored Girl Iris and Milles, Knight of Anal Tyranny. Though these titles are pretty...... intense?
  5. Vampire Princess Army is what they called us backers.
  6. Not all the physical editions have shipped, there were problems shipping to certain countries and they ran out of some of the physical goods.
  7. Both versions have a respective patch. I have a link to the the backer patch but it's useless till I receive the game. Good news is the steam version should drop with its respective patch.

You only really need to change your locale back if your running an application that sets its language from that setting, and those aren't really common. It's fine to leave it.

Have you rebooted after changing that setting?
  10. Update regarding the steam version and patch which should be released soon:

Just use the search box and search "region". Open the program that pops up and go into the "administrative" tab. The settings you want to change should be there. Alternatively find clock, language and region settings in the control panel and then go into regions. Edit: I wasn't really clear before, it should not change your whole PCs language.

Yeah you do for most unofficial VN translations. It shouldn't break your computer, all your doing is changing the "Language for non-Unicode programs" option. It does affect some other things, but you can always change it back if you need to. It doesn't change the primary language of your PC or anything.

I recall a similar issue I had on my setup. Turns out my Antivirus was interfering. Try running the program as Admin, then try temporarily shutting off your AV and trying again.
  14. You have the after stories and Professor Dave's thing, which is basicly a fan disk. Then you have Yuiji's Past which is what you want to read before moving on to the next game. I have only read about 2/3rds of Yuijis past and about a 1/3 to 1/2 of the after stories, but from what I saw I would say you should check out Yuiji's past, although, apart from the revelations about his past( which are a pretty good read ) it seems to be largely setup for the next game.
  15. Its decent, very moe at times and serious at others. I personally liked it. Kinda sucked for me that some of the characters I liked didn't have a route, but that will be fixed in a fandisc soon. Also a bit of bragging here, but I have a poster of Ritsuko on my door EDIT: Definitely check out Grisaia and Majikoi aswell. I am having trouble dealing with the fact that I forgot about them in my initial suggestions........ I require more training.....
  16. Sequels are Really Really! And Tick Tock! If I remember correctly, they are sort of after stories for two of the routes. EDIT: You won't find them on Mangagamer anymore eversonced shuffle was released on steam as an all ages but they should be here.
  17. If you like Shuffel! I would suggest playing the sequels. As standard I suggest looking at the work of Nitro+. Particularly Song of Saya and Demonbane. For Catgirls there is the Nekopara series. For stuff actualy similar to shuffle... Maybe have a look at BaseSon's and Overdrive's work?
  18. I'm getting the 18+ version but due to delays in shipping it is quite possible the regular version will be released by the time it actually arrives at my door. In that case though I think I would still get the 18+ patch as part of my backer rewards. Not sure though as I was under the impression that I would have the physical edition by now...
  19. Not 100% sure myself as I have neither of those installed myself, but the most likely location is probably HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE , under a subfolder named after the company. I am sure I don't have to tell you what happens if you have an oops moment while using regedit. Please be aware that editing the registry can have...... ect. ect. ect.
  20. I backed this, so if it hasn't benn put up by the time I get it setup, I will pass it along. Would be playing it if not for shipping times.
  21. Well, if gameplay is preferred you might wanna investigate the tons and tons of Translated RPG maker games floating around, although there is, unfortunately, no real comprehensive list of them floating around. Storywise, I would always recommend Nitroplus works, although there is some rape in some of them. Perhaps Cannonball and the two translated Bunny Black games might fit your criteria as well.
  22. No there is some non standard characters that the game is tripping over: This is from the bad scenario: This is from a good one: It happens when the current encoding doesn't support Japanese characters I think, so it was probably saved in the wrong one at one point. it doesn't need re-translating but it would be a bit annoying to fix. Doesn't need any special skills to fix though.
