Does any error message pop up?
If it's japanese, make a screenshot.
Otherwise, try running it with AppLocale, if that does not work, try setting your system locale to japanese.
Though I did not have to do that when I played Kanon, I had other VNs just randomly crash unless my timezone was set to japan as well, maybe try that if you want, but I doubt that's the problem.
If you're up to it, I'm 99% certain a VM will make it work.

Maybe you wanna give this one a try too: Hatsukoi
I read it many years ago, and remember it being better than average (they're even related by blood).
I'm usually not too much of a fan with drama in that regards, but this one has it (a certain person really doesn't like them going out).
If you can't read jap, there is a partial patch, that translates the route you're looking for.

When extracing a mulit-file archive, you just need to extract the first one.
The other ones will automatically be extracted along with the first one.

My vote goes to Touhou Kenchinroku 2 because I haven't read any of these, and because it's Touhou.
-
Oh come on, you have me on Skype to tell me about such things.. : /
-
Nah, it was about Shiny Days. Because, well..., we witcher has pretty damn good intuition.
That's kind of ironic, since chaosone totally talked about Valkyria Chronicles 3 and not Shiny Days.

Nothing wrong with reading this first, really.
And yeah, the two files to the right are the ISO images.
Install Daemon Tools, like Gerard said, and then open these files via Daemon Tools, and the setup should show up.

I have one folder where I install all VN's to, no matter wether they're english or japanese.
Then I have a folder for ISO's of VN's, which I have not yet installed, and a folder for ISO's which I keep, 'cause I wanna seed them, or 'cause I'm too lazy to search for a crack.
And yeah, I actually do reread stuff, so it makes sense that I keep it.

Harem Party and Brave Soul are only for PC, so you can't play them on your PSP.
You could get the PSP version of Tears to Tiara however, but yeah, only the japanese version is available for PSP.
Along with the official english releases for PSP, which Desi posted, there are also a few ported ones here Visual Novels ported to PSP!! (ENGLISH)
These are pretty much the only english VN's you'll find for PSP though.
In case you're also looking for non - VN games, you can look around here PSP - NyaaTorrents >> Search | Anime, manga, and music - Just say the word
Some are english.
-
max...
cant i decide not to share this VN??
and im the one that link this to you before >.>
Actually I'm the one who linked it to you
-
Just ignore ultim, he's talking nonsense, as usual.
And here you can get the game NyaaTorrents >> Torrent Information >> ??+????????[2.25G] | Anime, manga, and music - Just say the word
I'm still seeding it, so it should work.
And make sure only to download that file : "初恋/[021025][RUNE] 初恋 Game&DataDisc(ccd, bin).rar", since the torrent contains two games.

Nintendo/Sony doesn't want their console to have anything to do with porn stuff.
That only counts for Nintendo, actually.
There are 18 + VN's for PSP.
-
I approve of this.
My favourite H - Game I ever played.
The Game Over Scenes are incredibly hot and truly a pleasure to watch.
It is also not really hard to get the scenes yourself, in case you wanna try to 100% it on your own.
Set Ryouna in the options on though.

It's a good idea, but do we need an another Spoilerfest section on the forum, isn't the Library one enough? :>
I'm all for it, but I would personally avoid that section. You never know what crazy spoilers someone will write in the reviews.
At some other forum I used to go to (It was an Anime forum, but that doesn't matter, I guess), they had a review section.
However, they made a team out of like 7 forum members, who were the only ones who'd write the reviews then.
They decided on an Anime to watch like every month, and then each of them wrote one little review for it, so you could get several impressions of different people.
I mean, if guys like you and desi would do it, that section would actually be pretty helpful for people, without the chance of getting spoilered, I guess.

Umm..
So I yet again don't understand what you actually mean.
What are you shocked about?
From the thread title I kinda understood that you should name anime which you think of as bad or stupid now so you can't believe that you actually liked them once..
And yeah, there are none for me.
I still love all the stuff I've ever been into, so I can't make a list.
-
I don't know if I understand what you mean, but somehow it sounds to me like you consider waiting as hard.
I mean, I just live my life and then some day a translation gets released.
It's not like I actually actively wait every day doing nothing and say "Man, that was worth the wait." in the end or something. :/
-
Haha, sorry, I wasn't trying to sound that negative.
I've been trying to use these tools for some games, and the result just always has been awful.
And a lot of sentences also sounded pretty funny..so those also slowed me down a lot.
I guess I'm seeing stuff also a bit different since I'm learning japanese, but I just can't say that I've truly read something if I'd use these tools.
Sure you could probably interpret it all right, but you would miss out on the whole style of writing as well :/
@OneManArmy
I'll thank you anyway..
Not that I disagree with you on this.

In my opinion this thing is utter crap.
The main point of a VN is what you read, and if that is mostly garbage which you have to make a sense of on your own, then it is just not worth it.
Just wait till you can read japanese or till someone translates it, or don't read it at all is what I say to this.
-
I think I'm very serious most of the time, but I really wouldn't call myself mature either.
And yeah, nothing wrong with being who you are.
And this forum becoming too serious is something you probably never'll have to fear
-
Well, a bad habit of mine is since several years to bite my finger nails..
And a weird behavior of mine is that I see way too much in people's expressions,
wether it may be chat or not, and think at the slightest things that a person might dislike me or even hate me..
That usually ends up in me not caring for someone anymore and ignoring them then..
-
In all honesty, I couldn't care less what opinions other people have about anything..
I did tell some people how I play VN's and they didn't even understand how a game could be made of only text to read.
And none of the people around my age I know read anyway or can even speak english, so it is obvious that they wouldn't know about such games.
And on a side note, I actually do find people around the age of 18 or higher with relationships and what not who like anime and don't think it is for kids and stuff..
But maybe I'm just lucky in that aspect..

Just to make sure, but you know that the "Install" field is the second button, right?
Not that you think that it is the first, greyed out button.
Old VN on windows 10

Something I setup for a friend the other day is using ResizeEnable: http://www.digitallis.co.uk/pc/ResizeEnable/
This lets you resize applications, even if windows doesn't allow you to.
Of course this may not necessarily be the same as fullscreen, but you can technically just resize the application to your entire screen.
This is also really handy for VN's that have a fixed resolution that the game doesn't let you change : p
