As far as I know there is an ending planned in which the Doctor marries Sylvie.

The only other ending is achievable by giving Sylvie "The smallest portion" not buying her cute clothes, and ordering her sandwiches instead of Pancakes or outright molesting her when the option is available.

Otherwise yes, the game is currently an endless headpats simulator.

I am a fan of the "out-of-focus" style background Fraternite employs, the only other VN I can think of that uses the same technique is Katawa Shoujo. This seems like a fairly heavy VN especially in regards to it being a 'novel'. Is there any news concerning a localization or is this a pipe dream tier VN?

The only way Valve removing Adult Content from Steam can affect us is by reducing sales for publishers and deincentivizing translation projects. Steam is a platform used by millions so it isn't farfetched to treat it with severity but I would kindly remind everyone that this is really just a case of business as usual. Valve can reverse its decision and VNs and Eroge can be sold (as they were before!!!) on other markets.

Oh man, Kikokugai The Cyber Slayer coulda been so much better than it was. A man on a mission and a nefarious organization standing in his way (cliched as heck, anyone?). My main gripe with the story is the hero's goal, which is understandable given the technology of the setting, but it robs the story of a lot of its potential emotional appeal. Ruili (the gynoid) would've been better as her own character.

It's a very good visual novel and I recommend it to anyone who appreciates action elements in visual novels.

Ay caramba!! that red text!!! I wonder if any of the fan translations (*cough*shin koihime musou*cough*) are vulnerable to Cease & Desists? I haven't heard of any projects being scrapped recently but that doesn't mean it can't/won't/hasn't happened. It would really stink to have a fan tl practically ready for release just to get axed because a company has their own version.
