One of the most celebrated visual novels ever made, Kana ~ Imouto (Kana Little Sister) was written by Romeo Tanaka, the renowned creator of YUME MIRU KUSURI :: A Drug That Makes You Dream and Family Project ~ Kazoku Keikaku. Kana ~ Okaeri is a total re-make of the game that adds updated, larger graphics by Ayakaze Ryosho as well as full voice to the entire game. A wonderful way to experience the journey of Kana all over again...

In Kana Imouto ~ Okaeri, you have a sister who's two years younger than you named Kana, who has been ill all her life, spending more time in the hospital than at home. In the past you felt jealous of the special attention Kana received in your family, though in recent years you've come to treasure your younger sister instead, wanting to do anything to help her. Though life is never simple -- your long and complex relationship with Yumi can attest to that -- in the end all you wan to do is find a way to save your dear little sister. The reason is...you love her.

 

Kana ~ Okaeri is a dramatic multi-scenario love-sim game (hardcore) for Windows that explores the nature of love, family and mortality. You play the interactive game by moving through the story and making choices that affect the outcome, allowing for many different potential endings and excellent replay value.

Well, I guess I never did play the original since I wasnt a fan of the art and it was already old/classic when I started. Might as well give it a shot now. I DO like Yume Miru and Family Project after all.
