The only reason, and I do mean only reason, I haven't played this, or watched the anime yet is because of the terribly generic anime character designs. These big heads, huge shiny eyes, nearly invisible noses and mouths, and small faces. Well, I think my problem is with the girls' designs mostly. And they all look the same. I don't think I will be able to take the story seriously with such characters. At times I'm just moments away from starting the download for either anime or vn, but then I have a look at the characters and lose all motivation for continuing. The story is definitely more important to me, but still, character designs can't just be overlooked.

I'm not a huge fan of the art either, but it didn't stop me from playing it and enjoying it. I thought kyoani did a fairly decent job with the designs in the anime. To each his own, I suppose.

I didn't watch s2 cause its only nagisa/other world related but where exactly did u guys cry ? The only sad part was at tennis court when Okazaki went to help nagisa and made Kyou cry... I will play vn for all routes except nagisa since she is retarded as hell.

There's your problem. You didn't play/watch the best part. And no, it's not only nagisa/other world related. There's a lot of other things going on.

And whats your point ? I asked if there was something to cry about in s1. I could care less about after story since I am not gonna watch/read it in near future at least.

You asked "where we cried". I said the most emotional part is in the after story, which you skipped out on. If you don't want to read it, then don't read it. Just don't ask where we cried and be surprised.

meh...here we go again...

ok...i'll stamp my opinion here////

Nagisa indeed is annoying and the one route that i cant tolerate in Clannad...

and i wont say anything to ask you read it since her route is roughly 70% similiar with the sensei's route..

but you still need to finish her route just for after story

After story is the 2nd part of Clannad which the story gets better..

in fact thats the only part that i actually enjoyed(in the anime since i cant stand Nagisa at all)

since the main reason was because its totally not Nagisa related >.>

and for the VN, After story was a separate route which i would rank it under best 3 route...

just after Tomoyo and Kyou's route~

there's no reason for me to actually comment here but...

its just too unbearable since another NOOB trying to force his opinion and argue here when he dont even know bout the plot and settings of After Story >.>

congrats....

you just earn a recognition from me..

I asked friend what After Story is about and I based my opinion on that actually.

dude...just read it for the sake of completing the story..

then judge afterwards...

After Story never about that bitchy Nagisa~

In this world, the sun shines brightest on the privileged, leaving the rest to shiver in the shadows. Capitalism has stacked the deck, ensuring that the elites monopolize wealth, education, and the luxury of living without fear. Yet, amid this rigged game, one boy dares to defy the odds.

Fuwano Nagi knows this reality all too well. Born in the slums, he's destined for a life of hardship. But then, a rare opportunity lands in his hands:

      [One's Gift]

An invitation to Ougen Academy—a school that guarantees a place in the winner’s circle. Each year, one lucky student receives this offer, no matter their background. For a slum kid like Nagi, it’s his ticket out—a shot to rewrite his fate.

But there’s a catch. This school is like a predator's den, and the students are circling, ready to tear him apart.

At the top of the food chain? The student council, the elite of the elite:

-Isshiki Kaname: The charismatic student council president. She's the heir to a powerful family that secretly pulls the strings in Japan.
-Tateshina Eve: Aikido master and smooth operator. Cunning and resourceful, rumor has it she's a secret agent for the National Police Agency.
-Yato Kukuru: Tech prodigy with a bottomless bank account. She's got brains, ambition, and the funds to make it big.

With Touri, his surrogate sister from the slums, by his side, Nagi dives headfirst into this pit of vipers. Can he claw his way to the top and claim his own glory? Or will the privileged elite crush him before he even begins?
    • When campus nobody Seiji is attacked by unhinged space demons, it’s his classroom crush Yuuri who shows up to save the day! Luckily, Miss Fujiko arrives on the scene with an enchanted thread to bind both their life forces, saving them from certain death.

Over the next three months as Seiji and Yuuri slowly recover, the pair are on doctor’s orders to stay within one meter of each other or risk snapping their “red string of fate.” This means shacking up together and pretending to be a couple to avoid their classmates’ suspicions, but despite the clueless Yuuri claiming to be a “one-woman fortress with zero openings,” her natural powers of seduction quickly result in awkward situations that test poor Seiji’s sanity and self-control...

With his dream girl only centimeters away at every waking moment, will Seiji finally summon the courage to shoot his shot?
    • Asougi City, on the Seto Inland Sea, is dominated by the corporation whose name it now shares.
The Asougi Group ordains every aspect of the citizens' lives, but as those everyday lives are peaceful, few people object or question it at all.

Only one thing disturbs the city's harmonic order: the activities of the "Anti-Aso" hunting clans, who snatch people off the streets by force and then hustle their bodies on those same streets to customers.

The Anti-Aso struggle, the suits plot their removal, and all the while the impending Founder's Birthday Ceremony accelerates tensions everywhere.
And the balance in the city begins to shift, grinding people to dust in its motion...
