At least Ayakashibito is pretty good. Finished one route and it was pretty enjoyable.

It's just that this game has no qualms in putting nude/ero scenes in random places where in real life I have my guard dropped and people around... so yeah... almost got seen when a random nude scene popped up. >_>

Oh god, after replaying Koihime this past week, I've rediscovered my love of Aisha, and the two Kakoton/Kakoen sisters... god this game is addicting -_-

Are there any other games like this? Long ones with a bajillion heroines that has a semi-decent+ story?

I'm already almost done with Kamidori, love the hell out of that game, but the art style of Rance REALLY makes me hate it... I just can't stand that older art form except with some of the earlier mangagamer games like Pick Me Honey and the like. I have been trying to get into Big Bang Age, but the gamepaly is so damn confusing I can't figure out what to do 5 minutes in... but I get the feeling I'd like it if I understood...

Also, does anyone know what's going on with Madou Koukaku and Soukoku no Arterial? Those are two Eushully games I'm actually still waiting for from like 2 years ago...

That was the problem I had with Big Bang Age. The gameplay was needlessly complicated, so I gave up on it. Kamidori was fun for a while, then got repetitive. And by a while, I think I put over 100 hours into the game to get everything.

Same here. It was fun at the start but then it became way too complicated. Which isn't always a bad thing but it BBA's case it totally destroyed the flow of the game.

I've really grown to hate VNs that require a walkthrough. I mean, when you have to be psychic to know what path your choices take you into it rally takes you out of the story. That's why I liked Koihime Musou so much I think.

The only thing worse than a game that requires a walkthrough, is a game that requires a walkthrough and doesn't have one. Curse this internet.

I was doing pretty well with BBA for a while. It took alot of doing, but I eventually save scummed my way to the optimal path through the first 2 chapters. I triggered every event I wanted, captured every character I wanted, and fought every battle I wanted. Then I got completely crushed by the complexity of Chapter 3. Damn, I don't even know where to begin, I had to stop.

I'm having basically the same problem with Yumina the Ethereal right now. Just trial and error looking for the the optimal path. Why would you hide a great combat system behind labyrinthine event triggers? *sigh*

I remember going through hell for Kamidori. But I never got bored. Getting all the scenes was easy, getting every item and maxing everyone's states took FOREVER. But now that I'm at totally 100% I can't play it anymore. Sad. When my computer died the one thing I made certain to save was that save file.

Things needing walkthroughs is annoying for those types that seem to have 50+ choices, and like 10 different bad endings.... Hm.. Reminds me of F/SN.

Now, I am not against something having walkthroughs, if it has things like multiple paths to follow, or gameplay elements. It is just the ones that seem to make using a walkthrough a necessity to even play. I like to play without having to look at the internet, or a book, or printed pages that take my focus away from the game.

Sort of like trying to get 100% playthough in FF X-2 (yes, I did play it). My face was stuck more in the walkthough then actually playing the game to get it perfect. That type of needing a walkthrough to do something like that is what detracts from a game.

But anyways, enough about that type of talk.

Been in that exact situation. And on top of that I hear the HD version actually made the Via Infinito HARDER! Sick people work at Square. Not good wholesome people like in the anime porn industry.

I actually dropped FSN because it was WAY too slow for the first 4+ hours. I still love Kamidori, so I'm glad I have another 60ish hours to put into it. Is the NG+ as long as the main story? What is it? Koihime I'm still running through a ridiculously long cooking scene with Enshou, and it's damn PAINFUL. Went through some of the CG for the Majikoi A1-5 games last night, and it just makes me want to play them more. I would fight an army to have the rest of the Majikoi series translated...

Really want Dungeon Meister to get translated, but hell that ain't happening. Same with the Ikusa Valkyrie series (I like some nukiges here and there ;P)

For now I'm happy with Kamidori and a few others. Raidy series is next on my list.

Don't see what the big deal is. When does this thread not get off track for a few posts, and then get back on track. Calling it out isn't helping it get back on track any better. Considering it is still off track. :D
