Alien Posted June 1, 2012 Author Posted June 1, 2012 Kinda forgot this thread is a thing. Finished Water Margin a couple weeks ago. My version got pretty typo-y towards the end, mostly in the last 500 pages or so, but I think that was mostly editor fatigue. Aside from that, the translation was solid. Li Kui and Sagacious Lu are the best. Currently have a few books lined up to read (actually have them, just need to read them). I Am A Cat (Soseki Natsume) The Setting Sun (Osamu Dazai) Kokoro (Natsume Soseki) Memoirs of a Geisha (Arthur Golden) The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle (Haruki Murakami) Probably going to go with Memoirs of a Geisha first. Dan. Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 (edited) I Am A Cat (Soseki Natsume) ???? O.o Currently reading H.P. Lovecrafts original unadulted version. I heard the sales for that went up like 3000% on amazon.co.jp when haiyore nyaruko-san came out EDIT: Edited June 1, 2012 by Dan. Quote
Dan. Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 Wow thats amazing XD By the way, that "3000%" thing was just an exaggeration. I don't know the actual figures or anything. That picture shows the top-selling books on amazon.co.jp and the red line is one of the Lovecraft books. The numbers on the left are its place (with #1 at the top) and along the bottom is the date.
