    You can try running the patch in admin mode. Another thing you can try is switching your system locale to Japanese and running the patch from there. Invalid file handle 32 errors are usually related to missing/corrupted fonts that the game uses so this should serve as a hint to what is causing that error.

    Only thing I could think of is to adjust the balance of your left and right speaker as napoleon said. Check BB2's settings if it has an option like that. If not, check your PC's volume mixer.

    Wagamama High Spec's Visual Novel has already been picked up by Sekai Translations and is said to be fully translated this 2016. There's no update yet on its progress though.

    Majin is correct. Go to the VNDB and filter your searches so that the only VNs that appear are the ones that can be played on Mac.
