Update from MangaGamer:
-
He is out there, popping in to read everyone's guesses... Then he sits back and laughs at our frustration of guessing.
-
But if this is a VN with gameplay, does KISS have any of those? The only thing I see from them is about customizing characters...
-
Also, Baldr Sky is being TL'ed by another person already, Futsuu, and that isn't anywhere close to being finished. So even if he liked mecha he would either have helped Futsuu, or picked it up before.

It would be funny if there was no H-content. I wouldn't really care, but the problem is there aren't that many highly rated VN's that have either no h-content, or have both versions. That is by looking through the rating of 7 and above. And he has been good at trolling the VN he is TL'ing with lots of various titles. It's all up in the air unless he finally releases the name, or someone can come up with the name, or when he finally releases the patch. Whatever it is I have faith that it's going to be a good VN to play. I can't see him wasting time and tl'ing a title this fast otherwise.
-
I'm bored so I like to speculate right now. I am waiting, got enough on my plate right now that I wouldn't be able to play it even if it was released tomorrow.

I'm trying to search VNDB for an RPG title that has really high rankings. Some are already translated, and some aren't for the PC and are under systems like the PS2. But I do notice that the one you linked has an 'unknown translator' according to Ikusa Megami Zero - VNTL Status Tracker . Now, I can't tell how accurate that is, or if it's someone else's "Secret Project" that isn't really being updated. Of course, this is all assuming that he is doing another RPG type VN.
-
If we go off of Eushully titles, Ikusa Megami VERITA, has a Appendix disk. Maybe? It could be an extra disk like this, or I wonder if they are talking about an extra gameplay disk? It does have a pretty good rating also.
-
No idea about the game they are completing, but the one you linked looks like it would be fun to play. But, as you mentioned, it's probably just another troll... Damn them.

Look at my reply right below desi's for an estimate on how long beta-testing is. Just keep in mind that their is still a part after beta-testing which would be someone from MG having compiled the reports for the title, and then sending that off to the title's company in Japan to make corrections. That phase I can't tell you how long it might take as it depends on how busy the company in Japan is. But, the title looks to be maybe a little shorter in script size then Harukoi was, so testing phase might be around the same time I received: from 1 to 1-and-a-half months.
-
Well, for Harukoi my testing started on July 12. Testing for Harukoi needs to be finished by September 3rd. Now, while it is supposed to be finished by then, it might run a little late, or early, depending on how fast or slow some of the other testers are. We aren't paid employees of MG and have obligations outside of beta-testing. So a month and a half for a long title like Harukoi. As for the others, I can't comment. But I would say a month or so is going to be the general time frame for beta-testing. If MG picks up bigger titles (script size wise) it may extend past the 1 month. A

I so can't wait for Subahibi. I am waiting for my mind to be fucked. And then I am going to go to college class and fuck up everyone else's minds.

See, that is the problem. They are 'trying', but a lot of their business practices are not very well thought out. Also, wow... they released a SDHQ patch for issues that shouldn't have made it into the release in the first place. That is what testing is for in the first place. There are other titles out there that still haven't been patched for problems and it us up to others to figure out ways to correct them. Now, this is why we can criticize some of JAST's practices. While the games they bring over are good, the way they go about bringing them over aren't that great. It also hurts th

Well, Harukoi has a lot of, what I call them, pointless choices that I can't think of a reason for them being there. There are bad ends which I will have outlined. But really... too many pointless choices that detract from the whole point of them. I like choices that affect which route you plan on going on (just a few to get you started to the route of choice) and then a few choices for during the route to split it between good and bad ends. Like I was counting the choices for good and bad ends for a route on Harukoi. While some choices are repeats and some choices are never seen again, a
-
Well, I am not a big fan of choices in particular. Especially when they are overdone. Some of the routes in Harukoi.... TOOOO many choices. Some have barely any. I am enjoying Majikoi S too. Always good for the laughs.
-
Ummm... You might not take to kindly to Harukoi then. Choices pop up very frequently to start. But, before any major route decisions it's pretty obvious what selections you should make to get onto a characters route, and you will have all the character introductions before then. I am also making a walkthrough for Harukoi for it's release, along with a 100% save file. To help manage all the choices.

Some people don't like to ruin the mood of the VN by going for the best route as they loose incentive to complete the rest of the VN. The same could be said for choosing a bad route to play and hating the VN because of it. I usually research a VN, pick which characters I like, and play them by randomly drawing their name from a hat.
-
And I can't tell if it's been reported, but JAST released a patch for SDHQ: School Days HQ Version 1.01 Patch

I have finished my part in testing and finding corrections/errors in Harukoi. How much they use and what they use I can't say for certain. Came up with some problems like different translators for a section of scripts that I had to try and 'fix' to match the rest of the VN. I hope I did a good enough job of that so you won't notice too much.

5 routes tested for MG's Harukoi done for me so far. My take on the routes so far: Riru->Umi->Ayaka------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->Yuika->Kisaya And yes, I put those 2 at the end for a reason that I personally hated every second I was in their routes. This is all just my opinion though. Sonya's route is the next, and final, route I am testing.
-
Thanks for that update Dan. Also, an update on my status with Harukoi Otome. 4 routes cleared and 2 left to go. I am not the only tester though so don't let my progress get your hopes up.

Some things I've run into. Grammar and spelling mistakes. Incorrect punctuation. Double words. Problems occurring with inserted text that happen when using (), smart apostrophes and smart elipses some word processors use, and colons. Text boxes with too much text inserted so it either spills out, doesn't display text, or jumbles it up. Completely missing text boxes. Lines breaking for no reason. One of the characters name is misspelled in every 'name' box in the VN. And the biggest problem I ran into. A choice option does not appear at all, and it will automatically skip to the 'Bad

2 testers for Harukoi Otome. I've completely tested the common route and 2 of the heroine routes. 1/2 way done with the 3rd heroine. 3 more after that. Other tester has common and one of the heroine routes tested.
-
YES!!!!!!! *Cough* Anyways, keep up the good work Dan.. Word from me. While I'm not the only one looking over Harukoi Otome, I have completed 2 routes out of the 6. Working on the third route now. Beta-testing will still be 'Finalized' by September.
