The radio buttons are back to being tabs, so that got fixed, but there is something I didn't catch at the time I made the original post so it wasn't in my report. The "reactions" (Thanks, Ha Ha, WTF!?, etc.) aren't quite working right.

FYI: As of when I'm writing this, something has gone wonky with the page layout of the pages where you provide links to download the page. I THINK it's not on my end, as I've closed and opened my browser and even rebooted my computer. I'm attempting to attach a screen shot for reference:

(Look at me! I'm getting high tech here. Not only did I manage to attach a screenshot, I even managed to mark it up to highlight the points of interest. Go me!)

In the event the screen shot didn't actually upload, this was the page I was using for reference: https://erogegames.com/downloads/visual-novel/maid-of-the-dead-r2510/

The "tabs" for "Download"/"Free Download"/"Screenshots" etc. have been replaced by radio buttons that don't actually switch between anything and leave everything displayed by default.

Of course, with my luck, by the time I'm done writing this and post it, you'll have fixed whatever went wrong. Anyways, now that you seen this, feel free to delete the picture to free up the server space.

  3. I'm trying to play Curse Errant but have run into a game crashing bug very early. Just after you complete and the prologue/tutorial and give the letter of introduction to innkeeper, you unlock you first set of side quests. When I go to talk to the black smith just off to the right of the inn who gives you one of the first side quests, the game consistently crashes several lines of dialogue in.

Is this happening to anybody else, indicating there is something wrong the with game itself, or just me, indicating some sort of computer hardware incompatibility on my end?

  4. Quoted from the vndb.org description for the VN "Anonymous Code:

    Quote

Every computer on Earth overflowed past the maximum limit of the 4,294,967,295 seconds granted within the Digital Standard Clock that had been ticking away since 1900, leading to the worst-case scenario: all Defense-Attack Systems throughout the world majorly malfunctioning. Military satellites roared like Hammers of God as they showered instant devastation upon the world's major cities.

This blatantly fails the Suspension of Disbelieve test. No scientifically advanced nation cable of mounting orbital weapons worth the name would let such an obvious technological shortcoming cause such a catastrophe, let alone ALL of them. They would have patched this problem out of existences years if not decades in advance, or at the very least, issued a shut down/disarm command before the problem occurred.

  5. I'm about 2.5 routes through Walkure Romanze and it just occurred to me that I find the use of Japanese honorifics to be suspect in this instance, not just in the translation, but in the original Japanese version* as well. The setting is in a fictional (<-- I think) European city. Europeans would not be using Japanese honorifics. As such, the only time they potentially should be showing up in the dialogue is when either the protagonist or Akane are speaking as their characters are actually Japanese. Even then, the use of Japanese honorifics could still be viewed as suspect. Neither character is actually speaking Japanese in the internal logic of the story even if the text on screen you the player is reading is in Japanese and the protagonist has been living in the country already for several years. As such the protagonist at least should be reasonably fluent in and used to the linguistic conventions of whatever language they are actually speaking, although Akane might have been living there for a far shorter time, so it's understandable that Japanese honorifics slip regularly into her speech.

    ----------------

*I'm assuming the original Japanese version used honorifics based on the fact that one of the two version of the English patch "keeps" the Japanese honorifics.
