  1. I've never played either of those, so I can't compare this one to those titles, but the tone is slightly farcical. Not nearly as bad as "If you love me, say so". I couldn't even read that one. At least here, the MC is legitimately at fault for most the of female outrage he brings down upon himself. I don't know if that counts as "quality".
  2. This title first noticed on this site as of September 25th, 2019, 7:02 PM EST. Onii-chan, Kiss no Junbi wa Mada Desu ka? | vndb
  3. I don't know if there is a specific format to to make your requests in, so I'm just copying what seems to be the norm. Ivan, I would be very appreciative if you could upload Loca Love - Densha x Doukyuusei | vndb to this site.
  4. The main campaign has an over all time/turn limit. There is also some sort of free play mode that focuses on the game play without the story, but I don't know much about it. I'm not sure if it's available from the get go or if you need to beat the game once. And yes, the MC is an ass-hole, but the game play it self if good if you like strategy games.
  5. So, dumb question alert, but are the rockets this VN is talking about the type hobbyist build and can be bought as a kit at just about any toy/model store, or are we talking put a man into orbit, don't open that hatch, there is no atmosphere rockets?
  6. This title first noticed on this site as of September 21st, 2019, 1:47 PM EST. Ano Harewataru Sora yori Takaku | vndb Anti-Spoiler Warning: DO NOT read the entries in the VN's built in encyclopedia for "Child 1", "Child 2", etc. They are blatant spoilers. I included a more detailed (spoiler free) explanation of just where the spoiler is so you don't read it by accident.
  7. FYI, the picture at the top of the post isn't displaying, just a broken file icon.
  8. I still want to know what constitutes a "rather intricate bug" in a VN (See https://erogegames.com/eroge-visual-novels/eroge-general-talk/11838-what-constitutes-%22intricate-bug%22-vn/ for my full explanation of why this is even a question).
  9. Congratulations on your third hundred post!
  10. While I know that it is possible that one language may have a word that can't be directly translated into another single word in a different language, how the hell did we get from "Tasuketa Kemomimi Musume-tachi to Ichaicha Natsukarex Shimakuru Isekai FamiRes Hanjouki" to "Catgirl & Doggirl Cafe"?!
  11. This title first noticed by a Crazyboy on this site as of September 6th, 2019, 1:58 AM EST. (Another excellent straight line! Where have you people been hiding before now?) Tasuketa Kemomimi Musume-tachi to Ichaicha Natsukarex Shimakuru Isekai FamiRes Hanjouki
  12. Some of the (really) older games aren't quite so user friendly. Instead of just extract and play, the .rar archive contains a disc image file (.iso, .mds). You'll need a disc image reading software to handle those. I used to use to Daemon Tools Lite (DAEMON Tools - лучшие программы для работы с образами дисков! - DAEMON-Tools.cc), but I have played any of those titles in a while and Daemon Tools has gone through several version upgrades since I last used it, so I can no longer vouch for it. In case your unfamiliar with disc images, here's a really basic summery. (Note, as I said, I haven't actually used this software in a while, so it may not work like I'm describing) Once you install the Daemon Tools Lite, you'll use the software to create a "virtual DVD Drive". When you open up "My Computer", you'll actually see an additional drive, complete with letter. Use the Daemon Tools Lite software UI to "mount" a disc image file of your choice. At this point, as far as your computer is concerned, it thinks you have placed a real disc in a real drive and behaves as such. Run the game's installer as per normal, as if you really had the physical disc and really put it in your computer's optical drive. From their, I think the process is more or less self-explanatory. Just remember to remove any and all "Virtual Drives" before you uninstall Daemon Tools. I made the mistake of uninstalling it before removing the fake drive thinking the uninstall process would clean them up. It didn't. THAT was a headache dealing with.
  13. To the disappointment of all (or at least me), Kimi o Aogi Otome wa Hime ni got delayed due to an "intricate bug" (see: Sol Press - Blog - Update on the Status of My Fair Princess ). Setting aside any issues of whether or not it was the right call to wait as long as they did to make announcement about the delay, what constitutes an "intricate bug" in a VN in the first place? Unless I'm badly mistaken, at their design core, VNs are nothing more than a collection of text displayed in a linear manner synced against background music and animation in the form of sprites on static backgrounds, with a couple of if/then/else statements to divert the story down one of several paths. In most VNs, paths don't cross over one another, and there aren't many variables that I can conceive of that need to be tracked. Once the decision is made as to which route to follow, there's no need to "remember" that choice for later. While I can see somebody screwing up the sync between text, audio, and/or "video" (in such as VNs have video), those shouldn't be that hard to iron out once discovered. All this raises the question, what CAN the programmers screw up THAT badly in a VN?
  14. I just got done playing Hoshi Ori Yume Mirai and really enjoyed it so I'm looking forward to Gin'iro, Haruka which just got announced. How long does it usually take to complete a translation project like that one? I've never really paid attention so I have no frame of reference to make any sort of guess. Assuming no significant SNAFUs, are we looking at a few months, several months, or years before we can have any reasonable expectation of seeing a finished product?

  16. The voices in my head say I'm perfectly sane and you're the insane one for asking.
  17. Um... https://erogegames.com/dracu-riot-266/ ?
  18. FYI: I don't know if was intentional or not on your part, Zero Dilemma, but the link for "Escape from Z city" doesn't actually do anything, and there is no link at all from "Escape from Fortress Lugohm".
  19. Setting aside my disappointment in the delay for Kimi o Aogi Otome wa Hime ni (See Sol Press - Blog - Update on the Status of My Fair Princess), what actually constitutes a major bug in a VN. I mean, for the most part, they are a bunch of text and pictures presented in sequential order with a few if/then/else statements to branch the story line. I can see somebody screwing up the initial setup of the if/then/else statements, or getting the text/audio/visual components out of sync, but how hard is it to go back and correct those errors once you become aware of them?
