Well when it comes to Vn's I want a male M.C get because Vn's give you tons of info about the M.C like how they feel , Internal monologue and I don't want to romance a guy ever. If it has sex scenes that make it even weirder for me because of the female perspective. When it comes to Non-VN Games I share Ivan's point of view it depends on the role of the character I'm making and the effect on the game it has. (And if you cant make a character she will still need to be badass.... Yea that will do) Anime I can watch a female lead but I prefer not to. (unless she is just awesome)

Ok at the risk of sounding sexist I wanted to know your feelings on the subject. When it comes to anime or vn's I prefer Male main characters to female. Swan Song I liked the realistic flow of the story but the game to me had no good ending.Only one was ok but it wasn't a happy ending. Their is only one girl you can do to if I remember correctly. But the story is good and the flow of events is good.But it's a dark story so if you can only play happy game just skip it. But it's only dark in a society has fallen apart kind of way,and not in a main character is a villain kind of way.

Vampire: The Masquerade I don't think I played the first on.I know for sure I have only played Bloodlines and Redemption.If you are referring to the book and not a PC game.I never played the Dungeons & Dragons type games were you have to imagine what is happening(I think its called Storyteller System).
