If by "side" you mean "small/short" plot, which is an excuse for sex and then bam, h-scenes, then yeah, they have "side" routes. You can pretty much have sex with all the side heroines in a single playthorugh. Full route? I would have liked it that way. The longer it is, the better. Although it still depends in whether it has a decent story to go along with. But I don't think Yumina could be as long as Rewrite even if the side heroines have actual short routes dedicated to them. (Not counting the gameplay time.) MLA has linear plot, and it was made like that to serve a purpose, so

I'm only mildly interested in Yumina, and it became less after I realized that those side characters don't have any route. I might play Yumina just to see the gameplay, but unless the story is gripping enough, this might end up being a disappointment for me. Luckily, my expectation is low, so on the positive side I could be surprised.

Alright, since it's decided that this is the primary reason why the patch is for EN version; I'm inclined to believe that they would be spared from getting C&D at the very least if MoeNovel has just a little tiny bit of common sense. (Except Aaeru is clinically insane and a factor too, so he should just stfu) However, I don't think people would "buy" MoeNovel crappy official version and "support" the company motivated by all-ages censorship just because there's a fix patch out there. Your tragedy involved only the absence of ero, and if it was there, I think you would defend MoeNovel horrible translation. And why not, you already approved of Aaeru Machine Translation. When you put it like that, you could just play the Japanese version alongside MoeNovel version, no? Because there really is nothing different about it at that point.

You got that one right, Aaeru is a machine translator after all. And this was when he's trying his best. Can't wait to see what Konosora looks like after he "flies through them." ..l..

Their translator (which they haven't found yet, except Aaeru - the h-scenes translator) will have to compare both text to spot the overall lines alteration, and not just inserting the omitted lines, because I'm pretty sure that some of the routes overall context and lines have been altered to suit all-ages. An editor won't be enough to fix the English, their translator should imo check the accuracy and alteration of the translated portion too. I think this first phase will be successful, albeit with a "rushed" translation job. (They really don't learn from MoeNovel mistake, do they?)

I think it is safe to conclude that there will never be a patch for the Japanese version of Konosora, unless they want a debate and drama about morality, legality, and such with MoeNovel imo. But who really knows. This project is already treading on a thin line, but by making it available for MoeNovel version only, they might be able to avoid MoeNovel taking action on them. I just wished that they are wise enough to find a better translator than Aaeru.
