  1. They won't do that. The patch will be for the English version for a couple of reasons, including technicalities, but I suspect one of the main reasons is because they wanted to show MoeNovel that the patching project won't harm its market. If it's for the original version, people (including potential MoeNovel customer) will just pirate the Japanese version instead of buying the localized game. Of course, I could be wrong and this is all just my imagination, and the real reason is because it is easier to patch MoeNovel version compared to Jap version.
  2. I will see whether this sentiment applies to me as well or not when I eventually get to Umineko sometimes soon™. And no, it probably won't be in the nearest future. On topic: Still playing Utawarerumono in hardcore mode 3 (without cheat). It's a pain in the ass, especially because I made a mistake of wasting BP on defense in the early stages (shouldn't have done that) and has to start over from scratch. But overall, the tough fight made the game more immersive and fun, so it's okay. Regrettably though, PS2 and PSP version has an upgraded and supposed to be a much more fun gameplay compar
  3. I thought that patch Daev mentioned is just for the winner of that valentine competition that they'd held back then. Not sure though. *shrugs*
  4. http://forums.fuwanovel.org/index.php?/topic/1461-kono-oozora-h-scenes-porting-project/page__view__findpost__p__23081 If you need more than two translators just to fix the mess, then it's either you are not competent enough, or you lack the motivation to finish it. Having multiple translators for one project is never a good thing. Slow speed isn't a problem either, and they should remember well that one of the reasons MoeNovel translation sucks was because they rushed it. Edit 1: Looks like I was right. ┐( ̄︶ ̄)┌ Edit 2: They don't just need editors for MoeNovel's
  5. ^ Indeed. They are not related at all. Totally. Don't believe me? Ask MoeNovel CEO.
  6. Noooo, you got it wrong. The purpose of this particular English localization is to win over the French girls audience. That's why they removed/censored the kissing scenes. Because French can't handle kiss. Edit: @Wilhem: But MoeNovel doesn't know that. Kukukuku~~~ (Miyako's laugh)
  7. Well, [iF] he picks it up later, at least we could be sure about the quality and speed. I highly doubt the original translator is as good as Ixrec. He already lost in "motivation" and "effort" department.
  8. A few people from EG (ultim and helve among others) have tried Danganronpa on PSP. Well, I heard the game is great anyway so you should check it out. I don't own a PSP so I can't play this. Running it with an emulator is a bitch.
  9. Yea, I think they plan to release a patch covering the common route. As for how long the common route is, I do not know.
  10. [spoiler=Shuffle anime][ I see. Well, I heard that in the anime she turns into a psycho violent like Higurashi level while in the VN version, Kaede is just a normal devoted deredere osananajimi and that scenes didn't occurs at all. I thought you were interested because of that lol, that's why I asked. Don't want you to went in with a wrong impression about her. But general opinion said that the anime is better, almost everyone I've asked told me to watch it instead of playing the VN.
  11. If its me, I would choose this two. Osadai (My girlfriend is president ) seems to have a good quality, while for Kana, I like the story. Shuffle and D.C. seems mediocre and Shuffle translation aren't exactly decent so not sure if its worth wasting money on them. Meanwhile, Demonbane PC version is way inferior to its PS2 version because PS2 version had 300 new CGs, 3 new Opening animations, new badass OST and an excellent cast of voice actors. Unfortunately, JAST couldn't localize the English version with the PS2 content, even though I heard they had it all hacked and ready. It's disappoint
  12. Now it is you who is being shallow. You're pretty hanging up with separating VNs through genres, and by your own argument MLA cannot be compared with F/SN because the latter doesn't have mecha. That is a restriction that you've set up on your own for yourself. And like I said before, "if you know how to", which clearly you don't. Which reminded me that all this started because you're trying to reinforce your beliefs that two different title can't be compared. Oh, and Hoshimemo isn't drama, it's moege. You liked the garbage route where Naoe Yamato went against his esta
  13. So, Subahibi has been jinxed since last year by desi? Pretty neat.
  14. Shallow? What is a VN without those components? Especially when it comes to writing, characters, and dialogues. A VN won't exist with just simply depth and context. Yes, you definitely can't say Clannad is better than Milk Pot or YU-NO is better than Boob Wars because they tried to accomplish two different things. Neither is better than the other, they're just different, right? This thread already fulfilled its purpose, so we can just borrow it for some short discussion. Hahaha. Ah, I haven't played Majikoi S yet, only the original Majikoi. Though, I've heard that Majikoi
  15. It seems this butchered game really choose its own audience.(read: retard)
  16. Hardly. You may compare the quality of production, CGs, tachie, BGMs, writings, dialogues, and even subjective stuff like entertainment values if you know how to. That aside, just because Hoshimemo has a much more "sensible story" doesn't necessarily mean it's better. Majikoi has strong sets of awesome characters, an extremely enjoyable character interactions, and their comedy is pure gold.
  17. Weird, for some unknown reason, I have a premonition that I'm going to facepalming really hard on that expo day.
