Doesn't change the fact that Koiken Otome is your usual standard moege. Btw, he won't happen to be the one writing Touko route, is he? If what I read is true, that route are just as awful as Justin Bieber shitty song. Also, sometimes people shouldn't really take a writer previous work (unless he's an exceptionally skilled writer) as an indication or assurance that his later work will be as good or better, especially if he only writes one or two good titles. Kanno Yukihiro wrote YU-NO which is considered a masterpiece by most people (10/10 by Ixrec), yet, his later work MQ ~Jikuu no Hasha~ is nothing but a fucking disaster. -

"I dislike chaste romance." "Being an all-ages game is simply another form of censorship." "If there's romance, I expect to see some sex-scenes." etc. Just a few simple examples for you. -

This is a standard moege, so people who like romantics story would love to play it. Btw, why do I feel that the female side characters look much more interesting than the main heroines. :/ It seems like they are really in need of translators. This isn't going to be easy. -

Some company wants to localize a VN called Fata morgana no Yakata but they want to see whether the fanbase are interested in it or not. Info here. So yea, if it catch your attention, spread the words and tell the company you want to see it being localized. -

[spoiler=Itsusora] Also, what he said about the short story that unlocks after playing all of the routes Seems like even the great Ixrec can't understand what Shumon Yuu wrote. So any hopes of an English translation of Itsusora are now perfectly destroyed. Only Moogy claims that he could fully comprehend the story, and like hell he will translate it. (He practically put Itsusora under the "impossible tier") So yeah, realistically speaking there won't be any Itsusora translation for the next 1000 years. I'm not kidding. Ixrec gave 6/10 for Itsusora. Moogy gave 9.1/10 Even if people learn/knows Jap, I doubt they will enjoy/understand Itsusora though. But this is just my personal opinion. -

Geh, I lost the bet. My speculation: The remaining 2/3 is story titles with high sexual content. I'm wishing for euphoria. -

The game quality and plot execution is terribly horrendous. The overall idea itself was somewhat decent I supposed, though nothing impressive.

I remember trying the censored version of A Profile and G-Senjou no Maou. (A Profile "all-ages" patch was made by Ixrec while G-Senjou "all-ages" patch can be obtained from TLWiki) There are no plot holes when you censor those h-scenes, (though for G-Senjou, there's an atmosphere lost) but the censoring are so bad and unpleasant that I switched back to 18+ and just normally ctrl skip some of the boring h-scenes. lolz Silly stuff. -

To prevent the content inside the spoiler box from appearing in the activity stream, you just need to do this: [spoiler=title][Just put extra bracket.

Link 1. Link 2. Judging from these, I don't think the translation for Limit Panic has started yet. And they don't have site either. Meanwhile, the translation for Sengoku no Kuroyuri ~Futanari Hime to Reizoku no Shoujo~ has started. -
Finished reading the translated portion of Majikoi. First of all, I need to praise the seiyuu cast. They are really awesome, unarguably all of them did a great job. I never skip the voices. The BGM is slightly above average, with nothing extraordinary or memorable. I'm quite disappointed with the lack of CGs. There seems to be a handful of scenes where a CG would have made the visual better. Tachie looks superb and has a lot of variations befitting a quality visual novel. Overall, they are very expressive and are in a high quality level. The protagonist, Naoe Yamoto, is among the best protagonist I've seen so far. He has an interesting personality and traits that make him different from the usual generic protagonist. There are minor flaws such as character inconsistencies in heroine route that went against his established character in the prologue, though that doesn't stop him from being my favorite protagonist alongside Morita Kenichi and Sakisaka Fuminori. The main heroine was totally wonderful. Each of them has different unique personality with a strong chemistry with each other, providing an outstanding characters interaction. The supporting character was amazing too, and literally all of them has their own personality. I can't say the writer expand their role beyond the basic necessities, though, but since they did shine whenever they're required to be, I guess all is fine. Overall, it was a solid perfomances. Prologue - 8/10 The lengthy prologue did an amazing job at setting up the storyline and introducing the characters, making the readers relate to them. The comedy and character interaction is pure gold. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Character Selection Phase - 1.5/5 Then here comes the character selection phase where you've to choose and click the character you want to interact with. Honestly, although I did get why they choose this method, it still can't stop me from hating it. The prologue has set up a really nice flow, and the character selection phase did nothing but broke it. Listed according to the order I played them. Momoyo Route - 9/10 I totally enjoyed this route. Everything was fucking epic right from the beginning until the near end. The final "drama" that came out of nowhere at the end is unneeded and completely out of place. I guess they wanted it to be funny, but it was just jarring and weird. Nevertheless, Yamato was awesome in here. Momoyo After Story - Complete garbage. Chris Route – 5/10 I honestly doesn't like her as a heroine. She's a great character but I just can't imagine her being a suitable heroine for Yamato. Her route was also the weakest of all, with great final conflict wasted into slapstick comedy, destroying any sense of anticipation. The horrible pacing and the stupid force feed "drama" at the end doesn't help either. There's only one memorable scene in her route for me, and it was in the form of a h-scene. Chris doesn't have after story. Mayucchi Route – 7/10 I like the first half of the story; it was really great. The latter half, however, was somewhat a train wreck. Fortunately, it still came out as enjoyable, with the redeeming factor being Norio Wakamoto splendid performance. Mayucchi After Story - Dat ass. Kazuko Route - 9/10 It has the same score as Momoyo route, but arguably, it was the best route in Majikoi. I love the overall plot and story progression. It might not have the same amount of comedic silliness and exaggeration as in Momoyo's route, but Wanko's route compensates by having a good character depth, something that Momoyo lacks on her own route, in my opinion. Overall, it has a stronger plot, and good pacing compares to the others. (And finally, a damn proper epilogue! What a pleasant surprise!) That onsen scene is awesome too. However, there are quite a few things that I don't like, but it's a minor issues so I will not writes it here. Kazuko After Story - Quite good. Umeko Side Route – 4/5 I like the h-scene. Overall - 8.5/10 It was a fairly great visual novel with an awesome character interaction and insane comedy, but it also has flaws such as the tendency to have an unnecessary "drama" at the end of routes and a somewhat formulaic story.
