I have mixed feelings about Starless now that I've finished it. About half of the time I really liked it, but the other half was filled with content that I absolutely hate. I'm fine with violence and death in VNs and other forms of fiction, but totally unnecessary cruelties and prolonged suffering makes me feel nothing but disgust. The story was decent (for a nukige) but nothing unique: a filthy rich family wants to spice up their everyday life by playing with servants who are never allowed to disobey. I'm sure everyone understands what I mean, so let's not get too deep into that. Sei Shoujo's artwork was once again magnificent, though sometimes the proportions of the characters bodies seemed to be a bit off. Those of you who have played Bible Black and Discipline know how huge the women Sei Shoujo draws are... There were quite a few of good OSTs, like Garden of Eden, Cogito Ergo Sum, Memento Mori, and Fallen Angel. The thing that REALLY caught my attention was the characters voices. I've said this before, but I think that Marisa's voice actress is the same as Rin's from F/SN, and Sachie's (I loved her voice, btw) is the same as Nami's from One Piece. The Mistress' voice also sounded really familiar but I can't quite remember where I've heard it before. The endings were mostly way too cruel for me. Over half of them were so bad that I didn't want to keep reading. However, there were some endings that had the best h-scenes I've seen in a long time: in "Bizarre Marriage" Marika's wish was actually really innocent (I can't believe I'm using that word to describe anything in that game...) and the way she talked to protagonist was so sweet and touching. In "The Flower of Evil" the last scene with the three ladies was just so lovable and refreshing because for the first time they all smiled and laughed without a hint of sadism in their voice. If the "kinkyness level" of the h-scenes had been at their level for the whole game, it would have been an unrivaled nukige experience. Overall: Too much scat, hardcore bondage and torture for me to truly enjoy the game. If that stuff would be removed (they cover almost half of the game) and replaced by the kind of scenes I mentioned above, it would have been the Muv Luv Alternative of nukiges. However, now it deserves only 6/10 which is a huge disappointment for something I waited for many years to be able to read. EDIT. Gah, that's pretty horrible English. Whatever, I'm not in the mood to fix it.

I've played Starless for ~7 hours now and still loving it. So far it's been kinky in a good way, no scat or anything too bizarre. I'm not a fan of drinking urine, but I can handle it (not literally). Marisa's voice sounds sometimes exactly like Rin's from FSN which is actually kinda hot . Who knows, maybe Rin's voice actress is working under a different name for titles like this...

Ah, finally Starless is here. It's been too long since I've had time to read VNs, but maybe I'll have enough time to read both it and Higurashi during summer.

Why? Bible Black has 3.0 for the tag "corruption of characters" in VNDB. I know it's not an awesome VN but it's a way better story than most of those mindless rape nukiges for sure....

Edelweiss and its sequel Edelweiss Eiden Fantasia both have high school environment, and they are pretty good for beginners as well. Ever17 is another VN that is said to be good for beginners, but it doesn't have anything to do with school. I suggest that you read it at some point because the story is simply AMAZING.

It's fine to think like that but it's not ok to say it aloud. Most translators do this for free on their spare time, so it's kinda rude to tell them to do it faster.

Two VNs released, two more announced, Muv-Luv TDA 100% translated and people think it's a boring week? There have been many more worse than this....

Done with FHA. For years I waited for it to be translated, and now that all the waiting is finally over I'm pretty satisfied. The story was good and musics were great (Caren's theme and Shinji-oh earned their place on my list of top-tier OSTs). Caster's clumsiness and jealousy were adorable, but that's not enough to change my love for Rin All in all, extremely enjoyable game with a lot of text (took me 50+ hours). 8,5/10 I've had my eyes on Higurashi for some time now, and it's probably my next VN if my studies let me have enough free time...

That sounds awesome. I think the game is after the changes at the same level of kinkyness as Discipline, which means perfect.

Tch, why do they always remove all the fun parts?

Yes, if they find a way to extract the sound files from the game. From what I've heard, PSvita is kinda hard to hack

Sayonara wo Oshiete has insanely good score in VNDB, but my god those tags.... Still, I'll look forward to it

There was a scene (text only) where Rin and Archer went to an office building and found collapsed people. There may have been a few lines about the bone warriors as well but I'm not 100% sure. Loved the preview of the next episode. I can't believe those chess pieces could contain that much information about everything
