Are there voices in this VN? because I downloaded it, installed it, and it played just fine but every time there was dialogue there were no voices. in the options it had a voice volume control and an option to turn male voices on/off so there might be but I don’t know for sure. I can hear the sound effects and background music just fine but it kinda takes some of the feeling out of the game if i cant hear the voices…

Yes, there are voices. Maybe try fully reinstalling it.

Yeah, you should watch the anime or read the LN if you prefer. The game starts after ep 19 or 20 apparently.

Last year I downloaded Fate, and just this month (lol I postponed this one a lot) I decided to finish it. Completed all, all endings, blah blah. In the end, fate was exactly what they guys that recommended it to me said: an awesome VN, specially HF.

Fitting game to play around Christmas. Took long enough, but at least they have a date for it. I don't think it'll sell well, but I hope it does. It's a great VN.

True route is essentially the true Erika route, since she is the main heroine. Erika route is her "normal" route and you unlock her true and main route later on.

That's why most VN adaptions are garbage. As someone that does (did) QC work on Fortune Arterial, I can say I know absolutely nothing about what Frank (main guy) is doing. He WANTS to finish it, but I haven't heard much from him. Guess we'll see.

If F/SN is being mentioned, might as well plug in Tsukihime. Better protag, better main characters IMO. F/SN has the better story overall IMO, but Tsukihime for characters... main ones at least. Can't diss on Kotomine.

Play Period. Protag doesn't suck, mostly a good cast of characters, your standard comedy/drama/romance with some fairly unique routes. Only thing that turns away a few people is the art, but they're weak individuals. The backgrounds are really nice and the art is pretty unique.

That route was pretty bad. The rest are better. But going in expecting some regular moege is probably your problem with that lol. It's like going in expecting a regular moege with Grisaia.

Uhh... I finished Higurashi 1-4 2 weeks ago or around there. It being a questions arc, it sets up a lot of the mystery for arcs 5-8, but it's still a good enough VN to hold its own. I felt like it's tsukihime in a sense that it doesn't really need voices. Yeah, it would be a welcome addition, but the characters and atmosphere honestly make up for it... and yes, I know about the excellent VAs that higurashi has, no need to remind me -.- Anyway, I know ryukishi art is enjoyable to make fun of every often, but gotta feel for the guy because he basically had to do everything himself. The ps2 art is an improvement for me at least, so it's nice to have that option. I would give the VN around a 8. I'm currently playing arcs 5-8 which I think is a good improvement -- the story, atmosphere, and music are all improved. Guess i'll see how the last 2 arcs play out.
