  1. Glad to see White Album 2 and Comyu eeking along... slowly. On other notes, what the hell is all that stuff MG just picked up? And why do the links for No Thank You and Ourai have the same VNDB link? MY LIFE IS A CONFUSED MESS WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
  2. That would be helpful. Also I think I'll hold off on Raidy in that case. I'm definitely going with Ayakashibito and Muv Luv Alternative at this point, and I'm already playing Ikinari Anata (which I really like btw). I'm going to give Princess Waltz a shot, and Yumina. For my next round I can say for sure Demonbane, Raidy 1, and Fate Stay Night will make that list, probably Dengeki will as well. I took a look at Daibanchou again and the GUI gave me a migraine.
  3. I'm interested in the Steam version of Higurashi having seen the anime (all of it), and played a bit of the original game release. Granted, there's nothing they could make better about Grisaia, and it's one of those games where I actually appreciate the H scenes because they're so well placed and actually add meaning to the story. For example...
  4. For the detail you put into every one of those, I love you in the least homosexual way possible. You are the first person I've seen to support TtT, so I'll have to think about it. Trust me, I know the feeling of completely finishing Kamidori. I'm on my 4th run, I wanted to do a second round of Yuela when I had everything done and didn't have to worry about every little timed quest and such. Saya no uta sounds like my kind of game. Eris I might skip, Sagara Family I will skip, Demonbane will see the light of day, but probably in my next round of VNs, not this one. Lightning Warrior, I never use walkthroughs, even on the hardest of games, so sounds like it's for me. Dengeki I could use more info on, and Daibanchou still gives me shivers to think about... Oh, and Yumina is going to happen I decided.
  5. Yeah now if they could just do a Meikyuu release, that would be fantastic... but then again I like the H scenes,
  6. For some reason everyone hates Tears to Tiara... is the battle system THAT bad? Can someone explain that? Daibanchou... I was actually dreading this, can ANYONE explain the GUI? I've heard mixed things about Saya no Uta, but it looks good and I love dark stuff. I'm a Stephen King fan if that says anything. As far as MY recommendations? As about a genre in specific, I've played a metric fuckton of VNs, albeit I tend to play the non-mainstream ones as you guys can tell. If you want me to recommend something for a particular genre, fetish, or scenario, I'd be happy to. What do you guys think about Ayakashibito, Sharin no Kuni, Daiteikoku and I/O? I'm seriously interested in those 4, but know only what the summaries say about them.
  7. Okay, so of my library, here is the list of fully/mostly translated games that i have on my to-play list as higher than "medium". I just need to pick about 3-4 of these to play for the next month and a half, since the 7 games I'm currently playing are drawing to a close (DAMN Kamidori and Kajitsu took a long time). Here is the list, just give me your best recommendations: Ayakashibito (I'm almost for sure playing this one) Bukkake Ranch Come See Me Tonight 1 + 2 Daibanchou (dropped it before because GUI was too hard to figure out) Daiteikoku Deardrops Sexy Demon Transformation (this one is ONLY on the list because it was recommend the last time I made this thread...) Dengeki Striker H mo Game mo Kaihatsu Zanmai Fate/Stay Night (dropped it to play Kamidori, but now that's over...) Harem Party Harukoi Otome Hoshizora I/O Kono Oozora Lightning Warrior Raidy 1+2 Muv-Luv Alternative (almost certainly playing this one too, just finished Muv-Luv Extra/Unlimited) Pick Me Honey (I'm actualyl about halfway done with this one already, but dropped it like a year ago so I'd rather start all over) Princess Waltz Princess Eris Pururun Cafe (Looked like a better than average nukige?) Saya no Uta Sharin no Kuni Tears to Tiara The Sagara Family (is this any better than Pick me Honey?) Touma Kojirou Tsukihime (dropped this because of artstyle about an hour in last time, should I revisit it?) Yumina The Ethereal (no, I haven't played it yet at all >_>) Zanmataisei Demonbane (heard this was pretty damn good...) That's all for now, if you have other recommendations, I only want recommendations for games that are already fully translated or almost completely translated. I'm not waiting on a game to finish TL work. Thanks guys, I just need opinions! *Round 1, FIGHT!*
  8. See, what we programmer really SHOULD be doing is making a flawless machine translator for games, and ignoring all of this stupid TL crap that takes 3+ years a game. Note - I don't mean to diminish the work done by TLs - love you guys, I'm just saying if some programmer really wanted to make a lot of money this would be a great way to do it.
  9. Oh trust me I agree with the the stupidity of it, but a college with 30000+ students is hardly a shitty college. And besides, I didn't ask how the infrastructure was set up, I found the hub closet and took a looksie for myself. It was in the basement where no one would normally look, so it's not like it was lying open for everyone to see. That being said, after seeing it physically a few netstat and tracert commands will tell you the function of each item in the hub. The reason they use the router as a DMZ is because there are several administrative hosts connected to it that monitor the traffic sort of like those speed indicators you see on the sides of the road. The reason they do it is simple - in a DMZ zone where any kind of traffic is allowed, they can get a broader range of bad traffic that they can log for further use, at which point they can block it in the future without expending the energy to track down a single packet of information in a non-DMZ network. It's sort of like pipelining. My issue with it is that whenever you have to go through two routers to get to a network, you can't just forward it through the one router because the other one will pick it up. I don' have topological access to the second router, so I can't simply forward my data to my machine. On a single router this would be possible, but not on a dualband router setup. It's not actually so important that the first router is a DMZ, but more that there are two routers in the first place. If I just needed to get by a DMZ, that would be easy enough by editing the static routes for data to my machine from the second router, but that is not the case. But as far as the IT crew - that's beyond me. I guess it's just so low on their priority list with all the construction on campus that it's just not a big deal.
  10. I dropped my cake. RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
  11. Males: 1 - Zack Fair + Cloud Strife (Final Fantasy 7 Series) 2 - Balthier + Vaan (Final Fantasy 12) 3 - Ramza Beoulve (Final Fantasy Tactics) 4 - Roland (Luminous Arc 2) 5 - Gulcasa (Yggdra Union / Blaze Union) Females 1 - Momoyo Kawakami (Majikoi) 2 - Yui Takamura (Muv Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse) 3 - Haruko Amaya (Maken-Ki) 4 - Rias Gremory (Highschool DxD) 5 - Koko Hekmatyar (Jormungand) Wow the female list was hard XD Close followups would be: Margit Eberbach (Majikoi) Tatsuko Itagaki (Majikoi) Fatima (Luminous Arc 2) Yuki Mayuzumi (Majikoi) Tsubame Matsunaga (Majikoi) Aisha Kannu (Koihime Musou) Akeno Himejima (Highschool DxD) Satellizer L Bridgette (Freezing) Juvia Lockser (Fairy Tail) Erza Scarlet (Fairy Tail)
  12. No but that's the problem - they had a lot of the common route translated and then they never released their partial patch of it.
  13. I just want to know what anime this is from. It's on the tip of my tongue that I cut off yesterday (jk). [image - 568524] | Does This Look Like The Face of Mercy? | Know Your Meme
  14. I was saying firewall because it's simpler for non-IT people to understand. If you want it specifically, it's a dualband router setup with the second layer router used as a DMZ zone that filters multiaccess connections, such as torrents. We asked them to implement a layer 3 switch instead, but they don't want to hire the IT crew to implement it. It's not that I would get in too much TROUBLE for torrenting, it's just that I can't, physically. And before anyone goes and tells me to port forward, a dualband router setup means it MUST go through one router to get to the higher layer network router that provides direct internet. What about that is so funny? 0_o It looks pretty good to me, but I actually haven't played it. I may have heard it mentioned once or twice in the past, but it doesn't look half bad, at least as an RPG. The thing about me is that I'm not a huge fan of pixels, really just turns me off unless it's hardcore 8-bit, in which case I was probably INTENTIONALLY looking for 8-bit. That being said, if you are okay with the graphics, by all means give it a shot. I personally preferred Kamidori as an RPG. Crazy long game, I clocked about 500 hours on it over the course of 2ish years. Tons of stuff to do and has replay value like a boss. However, having said that, it's a very involved game that requires time and no small amount of thinking to play.
  15. I will try once I get back to my computer so I can load the image. My data on my phone is too limited right now to display it. If you put whatever it is as text I can give it a shot, but I only have 2 days of service left so please be hasty with it if it's important... I get back to my desktop in 4 days though.
  16. While it would be awesome to have them translate it, they are planning on translating all three games in the Ley Line trilogy, so they're going to be busy with that for a hell of a long time. If they do end up doing Kamikaze, it's not going to be for a long time and we might as well forget about it. No, we need to find another group.
  17. It died a bloody painful death. Don't expect it to be picked up again anytime soon. On another note, I wonder if anyone will ever pick up Kamikaze Explorer. That game seems to be teetering between TL groups, but no one actually picks it up. Ever since Wairu dropped it 2 years prior to dropping Majikoi and dying, I've seen at least 4 TL groups consider picking it up INLCUDING Loe Quality. Anyone have thoughts on this?
  18. I'm messaging Loe through email to see about fixing his laptop or providing funding to pay for a new desktop. The desktop he currently has sounds like a potato, so it will need to be almost entirely replaced, and be more efficient to simply buy a new one. Otherwise, I'm leaning towards buying him a 500GB HDD for about $80, but that will only work if his laptop model allows for hardware replacement (fuck macs). Also, I needed to ask him whether it is a 2.5 inch or 3.5 inch hard drive, and whether a second hard drive spot is available. I am guessing it's a single hard drive slot with a 2.5 inch, but that's only a guess. Hoping to hear back from him soon.
  19. That's what I thought too. Just wanted other opinions.
  20. What do you guys think about the kickstarter projects? Any of them look like they're worth playing?
  21. I actually recently added Boku ga Tenshi, haven't played it yet. I HAVE however played Bible black... that was... interesting (SHALLNEVERTOUCHAGAININMYLIFE). I have dengaroppa downlaoded, and demonbane I have played, just not added. I hate DraKoi, and I don't know the other two.
  22. I'm glad he listened to me and added the Harapara/min/kano/tsuma series to the list after I PMed him
  23. I will certainly do that. My paycheck comes in on July 8-9th, so he'll have a nice surprise waiting
  24. Kangoku Senkan has more stars because of personal reasons that involved tequila shots, a dare, 40$, and my friend's laptop for Google. I thought as much about Ayakashibito. Will read. White Album I expect to get finished in the next year or two so I want it downloaded, same with the other Koihime game. The hard debate comes with Walkure and Amairo. Still want to hear more about Concerto though, and if you guys think it will ever get finished. Finally, Iris is getting finished soon and I'm actually interested in that one, don't judge. Also, do you guys have anything more to recommend as far as what I should download ahead of time? I'll link you to my VNDB list, if it's on this list, DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. I HAVE ALREADY SEEN IT AND CONSIDERED IT. Also, this list isn't even up to date, over half of these I've finished by now anyways, so likely if it's mainstream I've read it, even if this list says I haven't: http://vndb.org/u47792/list
