Why are Grisaia no Meikyuu - Dead for at least 6 months, possibly even longer?

Because the translator is working on another game and is getting paid to do it.

Which game is that Ryu?

Not known yet. MG will announce it later, but apparently supposed to be a pretty good title and it probably doesn't have the word "anal" or "slavery" in it.

It'll be like steins gate(JAST), even if they are done it'll take them 3 months to get all the CD + merchandise going.

How can it be good without anal slavery?

*Unpopular Opinion Puffin*

I really didn't like Steins; Gate... Which is strange because I loved BRS, Darker than Black, Evangelion, FSN, and Death note / Code Geass...

Not like most of those titles have anything to do with the others, beside being popular.

Supposing that you were talking about the anime, if your problem wasn't with the characters you should read the novel; the narration is excellent, aside for the -short- chara's routes that are plenty avoidable.

I didn't go head over heels for the anime but had a blast with the novel.

Does someone know if one has to read Aselia before reading Seinarukana? Is their relation something like WAB installments or is it more of a sequel?

As far as i know Seinarukana happens after first game, we have a new hero and company but we meet a previous protagonist daughter and at least 1 character that was in Aselia. So probably you dont have to read it but if possible do it. I really enjoyed it and all the routes it has. Think of it as of Kamidori that has worse gameplay but MUCH better story and character interactions.

I've been hesitant to play it for a long time now; I don't have any reason to think I won't like it (usually I see fairly good opinions about the story and mixed ones about the gameplay, which looks good to me since I ask little out of the gameplay part of the novels I play either way, Koihime aside I enjoyed even the minigames in Sharnoth that people seem to dislike en masse) but the lacks of an entire route bugs me. It might be just an evil route and it might be replaced with a new one, but it's still a route and so feels a "too big to overlook" change of contents to me.

I'm not dead set on not playing it, more like I procrastinated the decision.

What can you guys tell me about Seinarukana? It looks like a genuinely interesting story, and seems to get connected to Kamidori and Koihime a lot whenever I bring it up. I had some people tell me the story is similar to Utawarerumono, but I can't see that being the case given what I already know... it seems more like Persona or Muv-Luv Alternative with a different setting, but the same concept of conquering God. What do you guys think about it? Worth playing if I liked all of the above? Or do you have a better game to describe it as? (I've played a crapton of VNs, so you can draw similarities with almost anything, I'll get the point). Thanks in advance bros! Love ya :)

you asked for it...

first of all... if you think about the first one (eien no aselia), the story is GREAT... so this one will have something better...

second... the gameplay got improved adding some color weakness and color resistances... and they even added a thing called "timed turns" where the slowest party gets to move last but can also move first after a couple of turns (just like soukoku no arterial's "timed turned map movement")...

Third, graphics/CGs got greatly improved...

you can judge the rest by yourself...

Eien no Aselia was an above average game overall.Imo, it had the potencial to be exceptional, but the thing about it was that it was like a jack of all trades, it was good at everything, but not awesome at anything.

The characters were good, but not exactly memorable.

The story was cool, but there was nothing particularly great about it.

The gameplay was nice, but it felt rough around the edges and wasn't exactly well developed.

So that's exactly the thing, I've personally been anxious for seinarukana for a long time because it promises to be an improved aselia and if it delivers then it's gonna be pretty fucking epic.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Oh mai gurd. There's always next year I guess. Hopefully something I'm interested in actually comes out.

Hooray...? The red text pleases me, for I do not care how much it has progressed. I only care that it has. "Soon" is a term notorious in the world of...everything. Fuck it, just gotta wait.

Looks interesting enough. .-.
