Protagonist Sawatari Yukito was looking for a summer part time job, when by chance he came across an advertisement in a job search magazine for a position with really nice wages. They edited out some tracks from first Higurashi release due to licensing issues. As for actual game "content" - they wanted to cut out loli-looking girl scene from Soul Link, but after uproar, they backed down and released game intact.

It uses e-mote system, just like Nekopara does (albeit this one doesn't have "bounciness" slider setting ). Once you get used to it, it's kinda hard how "static" other games' sprites appear to be. I bet more and more games will use it - what a time to be alive

Tokyo School Life follows your character as he begins his time as a foreign exchange student at Keyakidai High in Tokyo and learns not only about Japanese culture, but about the three girls that he is assigned to live with during his time there. The story is mostly set around the school your character attends and the dorm, which happens to be a shrine that he lives at with the girls. That said, you will visit various places both in and out of Tokyo and be introduced to them, through the game. A focus of the game is teaching the reader about a variety of cultural points. These are often explained to the character and he also comes across some very real difficulties of living in a foreign culture and Japan specifically. -
