In the distant future, a gigantic energy mass called the "Star of Destruction" suddenly appears near Mars. Its presence causes abnormal weather and tectonic plate shifts on Earth. As resources become scarce and populations have nowhere to go, conflicts erupt worldwide. This, however, is merely an omen of things to come. Only a hundred years remain for humanity. They plan to evacuate the planet to evade its doom. Two projects are drafted to meet that end. First is the establishment of Earth's Unified Government, which will allow the project to be implemented. Evacuating Earth becomes a top priority, and the order of "sacrificing the few to save the many" is implemented. Authoritarian rule controls the masses. Armed force oversees states and non-governmental organizations that oppose the new world order. The overwhelming military power maintains order regarding race, religion, food, energy, etc. The second is the "Felix Project," which will serve as the foundation for the exodus plan. With only 100 years left, humanity needs to build a spaceship to leave the planet and acquire the technology to survive in the vacuum of space for a long time. They decided to create "Felix," genetically modified people with extraordinary intelligence and longevity. These "superhumans" will be able to complete the seemingly impossible project. 99 years pass. A lone female Felix, Sion, has served her role as the central figure in the Earth Evacuation Project. With her job completed, Sion wishes to spend her remaining time quietly on the abandoned Earth. A young man, Ryo Haruna, from the unified military, is deployed to her side to protect and keep her in check. Their meeting sets the story in motion. The final love story on Earth. -

While attempting to make an escape from a brutal assault that’s devastated their homeland of Rughzenahide, the two mysteriously teleport to an unknown forest surrounded by vegetation not native to the surroundings of Rughzenahdie. The atmosphere is thick and heavy and no sign of life can be found, which is particularly unusual for such a lush forest. Sign of life isn't the only thing missing though. Something is odd about this land - something is amiss - but Selphine and Ritona are too startled to notice the obvious. Who were the assaulters and what was their goal? Where did Selphine and Ritona end up traversing to? Will the two make it home safely? And more importantly, what will they come home to once they do? Follow Selphine, a bubbly, happy-go-lucky Princess and her sharp-witted but slightly misanthropic Royal Guard Ritona, in their journey of a lifetime as they head back to their homeland of Rughzenhaide. -

That's the official English title that JAST chose. Japanese title was "少女魔法学 リトルウィッチロマネスク editio perfecta" and means roughly the same ( they use "magic school" instead of "spellbook" ). "grimoire" comes from old French and roughly translates to "spellbook". "editio perfecta" is direct Latin translation for "complete edition" A lot of magic-themed works use language like that to sound "edgy", mysterious and pick up the interest. Just take a look at Umineko anime OP with it's pseudo-Latin chorus, or even title of "Puella Magi Madoka Magica" series - they could've just use "Mahou Shoujo Madoka" title ( "Puella Magi" means "magical girl/virgin" in Latin) and it'd mean the same, but they wanted to "stand out". Steam greenlight version of this game (not the one that I posted here), without h-scenes will be named "Editio Acturi" ( Latin again, translates directly to "edition for everyone", or more natural "all-ages version".
