Indeed, we have a very similiar opinion on the matters here. I think last year at Otakon we also had Rance games announcements (V and VI) but then other titles were also interesting like Sona Nyl, Hapymaher, etc. This year instead, it was more oriented towards failed projects like Supipara, yaoi and yuri VNs and some mediocre OELVNs (all 3 of them that they announced sound boring). So essentially, we got only Rance Quest as the only serious announcement. Sengoku Rance already has a fanTL and despite what Arunaru said about the quality of its TL, I didn't see anybody complaining that much so I

Yes, I agree on that, we have lots of more officially translated VNs than in any other time in the VNs history and I am happy about that as well. As for how Sekai is selling visual novels at huge prices - that one is a mystery beyond me as well, I don't think there's enough Steam fags willing to drop so much cash on "no gameplay games" xD ... Well, you do have a point on that, it is indeed asking for too much ... basically, they are asking for 200k just to TL first two chapters of Supipara that were a failure in Japan and then 300k to develop and TL 3 more chapters and that should have somehow fixed the already flawed Supipara ... It's not "maybe", it's 100% xD ... It never was released, what we have is the old version. Maybe it does have some additional scenes but it's surely pretty minor and could be TLed even with machine TL xD.

Eh, now that I have completed X-change 1 and 2 myself I decided to check your reviews for both VNs. It would be a shame for nobody to comment on this so let me be the first one ... Let's go from one point to the other: That was some rather bad luck on your part, while the VN is certainly unique in the terms of its content (Genderbent Sex, Changing of Sex Fetish) it failed miserably to be any kind of good, even though it's very short and quite old, it's definitively not one of those VNs I would recommend to anybody, even if they were looking for a VN dealing with genderbent sex.

Why would this need translating? Isn't the script the same as in earlier release of X-Change? I got an impression they only updated the sprites, CGs and added voice actors.
