  1. It's so nice that MG actually keeps us so well informed about the different aspects of their progress. So much better then that other company...
  2. Damn world better not end on my b-day. Would be a pretty shitty present.
  3. Thanks everyone.

  4. Yea, JAST is no MangaGamer when it comes to updates. Edit for a VN update: For Fortune Arterial - Get the patch here: http://chuu.usiscon.com/mediawiki/index.php/Main_Page

In 2 weeks once my military training is done I will have a lot of free time. Right now my time is devoted to the military and beta-testing Harukoi Otome. Once the 2 weeks is up I will have a lot of free time for about 4 weeks until school starts.

I'll be helping in whatever I can. Might not be too much as I have college, the military, and beta-testing for MG.
  8. Don't feel bad. I can't play either and I have the hard copy of the game. My game freezes upon starting a new game.
  9. Well, I have CCCP installed and that didn't give me a black screen. Ditto for FRAPS. If you had something different I would have said that might interfere, but it doesn't look like it. Can't really say about your video card though. It's not that old of a model, from 2010. Unless someone with the same model can confirm it works just fine that is my only guess. Sorry I can't help more, but if it's not the video card or something like a codec pack I can't say what it is. If you have access to another computer try to install on that. Hope someone can help you more then I could.
  10. It could be, but I doubt it. You could try downloading it again, but it might not even be worth it. What video card do you have? Also, do you have any codec packs installed on your PC? You are the first case I know of that is only getting a black screen. That is unless someone mentioned the problem in the comments on the erogedownload.com School Days page. The reason I ask about the video card is it might be unsupported by the game, or a codec pack might be interfering in the game running.
  11. I installed it normally via iso, I can't even get to title screen, it's just a black screen with sound Can't really say what the problem might be then. You can try going through the steps I listed for Littlelist in hopes that something might work.
  12. @Linkman19: Did you just copy the files from the .iso to a folder or did you install it normally? I know someone had trouble with a black screen on certain scenes because he just copy/pasted the files into the folder. @Littlelist: Here is a list of things you can try. 1. Try installing to another folder. 2. Try installing as admin. With the .iso mounted right click on the drive in My Computer and click open. Fine the .exe and right click on it. Click Run as Administrator. 3. Try to run the game as administrator. Right click the desktop icon. Click Properties. Go to the Compatibility tab. At the bottom check the box for Run this program as an administrator. 4. You can also try to run the program under a different compatibility mode. Following the instructions for step 3 check the box in Compatibility mode. Keep Windows XP (Service Pack 3) as the mode to run it as. This step is only useful if you are running Vista or Windows 7.

  14. Update for Harukoi Otome:
  15. ^ Seems like my contacting MG about that actually worked. Glad I am not a liar on that front. Now if only JAST would update their post.... Got to contact them again it seems.
  16. Not 100% sure, but you can try one of these ways from a question found on gamefaqs: Where can I find (goddess sculpture)? - Kamidori Alchemy Master Answers for PC - GameFAQs
  17. No problem. You can also access the files from daemon tools. Right click on the mounted .iso and click on 'Open in File Explorer'.
  18. It is not recommended to just copy files to the folder as you will run into problems with the game. That is unless you are having problems installing the game and need to copy a specific file over. In that case go to the disk drive and right click on it. Select 'Open' and it will bring up all the files on the disc. Then just select and drag the file to the folder you are installing the VN to.
  19. I more the surpass the needed hardware specs to run this VN. Just keep running into one problem after another. I'll look into it another day when I can drudge up enough care. Spent too much time yesterday just fixing my sound issue.
  20. I've had nothing, but trouble. Game freezes when I try to start a new game, or when I try to load a saved game. *Sigh*I don't feel like diagnosing this problem on my computer right now after all that work I did to try and get it to run with sound the first time. Running as Admin doesn't work. Installing and running as Admin doesn't work. Installing as Admin, running as Admin, and using XP compatibility doesn't work. I'm tired
  21. That VN looks awesome. Are you downloading from a torrent? If so could you provide it? Back on track. I am playing SD... If I can get it to stop freezing.
  22. Guess some good news for Real Imouto ga Iru, http://tlwiki.org/index.php?title=Real_Imouto_ga_Iru:
  23. ^ I downloaded the torrent version, but I also had the hard copy to test this with. The only thing that I found to effect me was my sound driver. To this I don't know. Here are the specs to run the game though: Windows 7 32/64 bit, Vista, or XP Dual-Core 2.0GHz 1GB RAM 12GB free space DirectX 9.0, 64MB VRAM, 1024X768 resolution
  24. How long does it take to pop up? Mine can take like 5-10 seconds. It also might take longer if you have an older PC.
  25. Ok, here is what I have found so far. There is a problem installing this VN using Japanese Locale. To test this I ran the installer on my laptop in English(United States) Locale and sound works just fine without messing with the config file. Didn't matter what changes I made, sound started correctly when the VN was re-opened. Moving that config file to a Japanese locale PC did not make the Japanese locale PC's sound work. I will make edits to this post once I do more tests. Edit 1: No problems with any saves while running in English Locale. No problems with sound messing up in English locale. This was made using my English locale laptop and not my Japanese locale PC. Edit 2: Made a config file with the settings I wanted on my English Locale laptop. Moved that config file over to my Japanese Locale desktop in a read only file format state. Manually created the install folders on the drive I was going to install the VN on. Moved the config file into the correct folder. Re-installed SD HQ to the manually created folders. The VN runs with the settings I had for that config file. Remember that the config file is in read only. Sound starts up any time I restart the VN and my settings are still the same from when I transferred the config file. Edit 3: Installed in English locale after ensuring ALL drivers (sound, video, windows updates, etc.) were update. Changed settings in English locale to ensure I had a changed config file. Changed locale to Japanese and game works just fine. Sound stays on and settings stay on from the English locale. Changed settings again in Japanese locale and VN launched with no problems. Re-launched VN after closing to ensure that there were no problems. Edit 4: For me this worked. It might not work for everyone. The only driver my PC was missing was the sound driver. Updated that and changed my PC to Japanese Locale. Did a fresh install of SD HQ. Ran SD and changed settings, sound worked fine. Closed and restarted SD. Sound worked fine and settings stayed the same. Reloaded the VN 5 times and sound worked every time in Japanese locale. From what I gather, either a driver is out-of-date, or there is a compatibility issue with either your sound driver or sound card that is causing the sound to stop working. Unsure as to what the exact problem is but this is all I found. This may/may not be the problem for everyone. This is just what I found to be the problem for me.
