I'm not sure specifically what's got your computer in a snit, but I've been using "BGI.exe" to run the program, not "BHVC.exe". Also, my computer's anti-virus software, AVG, was getting in the way. Specifically, AVG's "Behavior Shield" component. I had to that component off out right to get the program to run. Setting exceptions would not work.

Also, this just occurred to me. Make sure you're using the right .exe file. I'm under the assumption (and it has so far been proven true) that the correct .exe file is BGI.exe.

I don't know if the problem your having is the problem I was having (see my threads I made, links to follow) but the issue was my anti-virus software (I'm using AVG). Setting exceptions to the files and folders didn't work. I had to outright disable the "Behavior Shield" module to get the software to run, otherwise Dait. no Hitsu. would complain about a debugger. Given this a fan translated title, does anybody know if I need to muck with my computers region settings, or can I get away with leaving it set to USA English? Side note: Apparently, this is my 300th post.

I here by predict that "The Shepherd" will end up being the cat. No this is not a spoiler, I haven't finished even one route yet, so I don't know who "The Shepherd" is. I don't actually know who it is. Other guesses are welcome. Those who spoil the story will be subject to a week long TV marathon of little kid shows about playing nice in the sandbox with out sleep and only bread and water for sustenance.

Thanks to Ivan, I've identified the problem as being related to my virus scanner, AVG. With some fiddling I've even identified the specific component of my scanner, the "Behavior Shield". I've added both BGI.exe file as well as it's containing folder to the the exceptions list. I even added the folder containing the folder to the exception list. So far only out right deactivation of the "Behavior Shield" is helping. Anybody got any ideas on the next step to try?

So I extracted Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai from the .rar archive (multi-part version, not the single file), changed my system local, applied the font fix patch, and selected BGI.exe. I get an error message about a debugger and to please remove it from memory. I'm going to attempt to post a screen shot. Anybody know what to do about this?

So I count six different .exe files, four of which could be the game. Which one do I actually want?

Visual Novels Translation Status [10/03/2019]

I noticed several title listed as "Secret Project ". I just wanted to verify that that means you don't have any information beyond that they exist and not that the VN is actually titled "Secret Project". -
I'm starting to wonder what is so wrong about the use of "Dude" in the translation? I haven't gotten out of the common route yet, so maybe it gets worse later, but so far I've only seen a single use of the word dude that seems out of place. All other uses of the word seem reasonable and in context to the situation. I have the game's settings to "Use Japanese Honorifics", so I acknowledge that could be masking some of the more questionable uses of the word.
