  1. People have said that it gets better later on I think, so yea. But you know, it might be best not to expect TOO much, just sayin'. It won't be like Higurashi/Umineko/Higanbana. Different genre altogether. Still 07th Expansion though so it should have some good characters and a good story by the end of it (hopefully).

  3. That was so fast. It was only like... 2 days ago or something when that anon did the voices up to chapter 4. And now it's completely done. They posted about it here: Rose Guns Days (07th Expansion) - Page 42 - AnimeSuki Forum
  4. lol desi, you were much more comprehensive about it than me anyway, so that's better. They're both very wordy. That's about the only thing they have in common unless I'm forgetting something. Light novels come in physical volumes, like manga. Visual novels are something that you only play/read on your PC/Mac/whatever. Most of the time, visual novels have character sprites, background art, music, sound effects, voice acting, choices - sometimes gameplay, like in Kamidori Alchemy Meister. However this can differ at times. Not all visual novels have choices for example. Those without,
  5. Most of them are, but not all. OELVNs ("Original English Visual Novels") exist as well. Katawa Shoujo is the most well-known one out there right now. It's freeware and a pretty solid starting point for someone who is new to VNs (visual novels). No, you don't. There exists a good amount of officially translated and fan translated VNs already. MangaGamer JAST And various titles can be found on Steam as well. I'm kinda surprised you managed to find your way to this forum without knowing about any of this stuff beforehand though. Visual novels aren't really that "hidden" any
  6. Happy birthday battler :)

  7. Not for the main story you aren't. It's just something extra on the side.
  8. ^ One of the better event songs. It's a little bit similar to the one in , and I think those AL/MI songs were always the best tbh. It's still ongoing but I already got what I wanted (rewards+Roma). They really do give you a lot of time...
  9. When I first read your post, my mind automatically went to "oh he's suggesting to watch Higurashi and read Starless". Simply because that's how it usually goes when it comes to Higurashi, lol. But no it was the opposite. Nice.
  10. Something like that. It has some mystery to it, according to the tags. ("Multiple Route Mystery")
  11. Well, people say Euphoria has a good story, despite all the weird shit. I can see why - the premise itself seems interesting. I'll read it someday.
  12. There's probably going to be a patch to bring back that content, made by Jast themselves but not released through "official channels". It's the same with Shiny Days. They've heavily implied that they're making the patch themselves on their forum.
  13. http://i.imgur.com/lh91j0T.jpg Dunno about major differences but I'm just gonna assume this one is better.
  14. VNs with choices are very common. And there are many VNs in total. It'd be easier to give you a recommendation if you also mentioned a genre or something like that. You want something with an epic plot? Something with a focus on romance? Something with plenty of character routes? Mystery? Horror? Action? You say you're a noob, but does that mean you're completely new or have you read something already? What have you read if so?
  15. Download this thing and you'll get the soundtrack. The depositfiles links work.
  16. Translators being against it (morally) was a miscommunication according to Kanna's first post on this page: https://connect.jastusa.com/support/discussions/topics/5000047459/page/5
  17. This post from Peter Payne pretty much says that there will be a patch. Here's the forum thread where they talk about that stuff: https://connect.jastusa.com/support/discussions/topics/5000047459/page/4 Edit: To clarify, there's a lot of complaints on the forum about the censorship. The post I linked was the last response Peter made (for today I guess).
  18. That needs to happen, 'cause genderbent Hitler. : p Well if what Crucifixx said is true, then it's supposed to be a genre shift from Koi iro Chu! Lips. That one is a pretty generic school romance VN, going by the tags. So maybe something like this https://vndb.org/v958 - no gameplay. I'm hoping it'll be a title with some kind of gameplay since Alice Soft is obviously good at that, but it might not be.
  19. Haven't tried it, but that guy originally put the translated chapters as videos on YouTube. Some peopleA guy on reddit said it's some kind of edited machine translation or whatever (http://i.imgur.com/NQHf5wJ.jpg) ... I dunno, it didn't look that bad from what I saw on YouTube. This patch release is probably improved also. But anyway, those chapters will be translated by MG eventually.
  20. I was thinking it'd be easy to figure out what that was since it's not Rance, but... no, not really. Alice Soft has a lot of fucking games.
  21. Loli does not really mean flat-chested, just sayin'. Oppai lolis are a thing after all. Well there is a "pettanko heroine" tag on VNDB. That's probably your best bet to be honest. https://vndb.org/v/all?q=&fil=tag_inc-587.tagspoil-0 (VNDB search with the pettanko heroine tag) Pettanko = flat-chested, so it's technically not the exact same thing as "petite girl". BUT, it can definitely lead you to the same kind of characters that you're looking for I think. The fourth search result is this https://vndb.org/v7747. That eroge has this character in it https://vndb.org/c2310 . And that's
  22. ... No mention of Clannad? I mean you spend A LOT of time at (high) school in that VN. It definitely fits the category. Admittedly though it might be best to just wait for the re-translation at this point tbh.
  23. [spoiler=FSN Heaven's Feel] All this epicness, it floooows through me.
