  1. I'm still reading through it but it is one of the better romance titles (yuri or not) out there. It's pretty great, but I still think Aoi Shiro will stay as my #1 favorite yuri vn.

there is really nothing i disliked about Aoishiro, the art was awesome the soundtrack was very good and i liked the story as well, though i think it was a bit dragged, sometimes it felt like One Piece now, and sometimes it felt like everything is happening too fast. Though i agree it is indeed a great all age yuri VN, though my vote still goes to Maou on G-string :p .

  2. Sacrament of the Zodiac: The Confused Sheep and the Tamed Wolf (https://vndb.org/v15944) is coming out on February 5th.

It's a rare thing for a vn to have a longer title than the description. Oh wait, there is no description at all ;), i would understand that for a title that is not yet released, or just newly released but this game was released somewhere in 2014, so it really flew under the radar, i wonder what are the translators hoping for ? I don't complain, i'm just curious why the interest in translating such a boring looking vn. Guess they played and liked it ?

  3. So, you didn't funded the Muv-Luv Kickstarter?

Look, i understand where you're coming from but this kind of charity is not my thing. On the other hand i'm totally against piracy, i know, i know, i do it as well, but if the plus income could help game company make a better game than i'm all for it.

These guys are not prostitutes so why pay in advance, and while i have respect for everyone who makes games out there, translation has nothing to do with making games, i have 2 native languages and a few years back i did some translating for a few weeks, nothing serious. On average i translated 300/hour, so i understand it's really not that easy, but heck, if i can do it, if the fan translators can do it, then they should be capable of it as well, and if they don't that just means that the era for VN for the english speaking audience is not yet here, though if i look at Mangagamer, i can boldly state, there is a VN community out there, cuz otherwise they would have went bankrupt long ago.

The ending of alternative disappointed me. After all that shit i went through with the protagonist that ending for me was the worst, they could have easily made one more ending, just a few minutes, but no, they just had to finish it like that.

For him to lose all his memories, was a total clusterfuck, i don't care if he would have had nightmares, main point is for me to feel good ;), but seriously, at the end i felt like everything was for nought, this is the only reason why i liked Muv Luv more than Muv Luv Alternative.

  4. You can't really say that it's a fact people don't want to give sekai project any more money. I'm sure there's a few people out there like that, but a far bigger factor is how anemic the tiers were. They expected you to pay a lot of money for very little in return. Most SP kickstarter campaigns gave you adequate rewards for your pledges, but this one threw that out the window. They recently added extra stuff to the various tiers and that has helped things a little.

Never supported any kickstarter project, i just don't have the faith that it will be finished, and even if it's finished i have my doubts about the quality. Maybe if i would win the lottery i might support a few projects ;) but not sooner, but then again if i would win the lottery the first thing i would do concerning the translation of games would be to assemble a good (small) team and start translate Aiyoku no Eustia and not supporting some dubious looking projects. I don't say that sekai projects are dubious, i speak in general, there were quite a lot of projects abandoned on kickstarter, and the money, well obviously most of it if not all gone.

It's like this, give me a million $ and i will make a hundred, but without that one million it is next to impossible. It's the same if they would have the money to start their business they might actually have a chance, but they don't, i know, it sucks. The world is cruel, life is a bitch, and i love it, but they're doomed........... probably, but i believe in miracles ;)

  5. hello guys, I just found out at Mangagamer are translating Himawari. here it's link for the game https://vndb.org/v210

I wonder how the game it's

Based on the art and the description i can't think that it will be better than average, i can't understand why mangagamer would translate such a VN to be honest. Until now it was either Nukige or some which looked like had a decent story, this one doesn't strike me as either of those. Point is that they always chose sex and or story until now, like euphoria, free friends, boob war, eroge, kara no shojo, go go nippon, da capo. To be blunt this game for me seems so uninteresting that i don't even wanna waste my time downloading and trying it out just to find out it wasn't worth it. Of course it could still be a jewel, despite the average art and worse description, just like To the moon, but not likely. But i guess everyone has it's own taste so just try it out and if you find it good buy it, if not, delete the shit out of him.

  6. just finished michiru's route, and it was quite decent, but i have to admit that the pacing was a bit too weird and they rushed the bulk of the story within the last 20-30 minutes. though i really like how they skip some of the the scenes from the main route so you don't have to continuously use skip. though it has the downside of you maybe not getting the whole story if you come back to the game after a few months and forgetting some things.

i knew it was familiar from somewhere the name (michiru) Grisaia no Kajitsu one of the best VN and one of the worst anime i have ever watched, they butchered together everything, it still burns my eyes. Still i have to give them credit for being retard and to cast aside pretty much everything and to even add some things that had nothing to do with the VN and the manga, the nerve they had, idiots.

  7. Not sure what you're talking about since I didn't even started the game so far but it can't possibly be worse than uguu.

can't be more annoying than "i'm curious" in Hyouka, every time i heard it, it killed a little piece of me, but i guess everyone has it's own share of things that it likes and dislikes.

    p.s. wish there were more rpg-ish VN's

  8. Did they end up editing the fan translation or did they actually do a half decent job on it?.

Does it even matter ? Unless the fan translated one was horrible, really horrible, it has little to no meaning at all to do a re-translation from zero. Instead, they should just translate Aiyoku no Eustia, everybody would be happier, especially me :o .

  9. Because they licensed the console version. From your earlier post, it seems that you're misunderstanding something. The PC version has not been licensed, and there has been no indication that an english language PC version will ever be released. Since this is the console version we're talking about, it has to conform to Sony's standards, and that means no h-scenes. Fruitbat Factory wanted to release a PC version but there were licensing issues.

I see, well lets hope that some generous team will copy/paste the translation to PC and also trows the 18+ stuff to it.

Sure but all age gives you the opportunity to sell games on steam or the ps3 shop.

It's not uncommon to do the all age and 18+ as separate games nowaday.Making a game 18+ doesn't necessarily mean they can't do the all age separately. But no way in hell that they will release an adult game on PlayStation

  10. Just looking at the character page... did they censor the spirits in the all ages?

So next time what it's gonna be Bunny Black all age ? ;)

I understand the all age thingy, really, but why not go all the way ? Is it a license problem ?

I don't think that the sex scenes occupy that much of the conversation from the whole game that would take so much time in plus to translate it, also, besides the ahh, ihh, uhh, ohh and some other short comments the sex scenes conversation ends there. For all i care they could leave it in Japanese.

But i'm really curious, is there a specific reason why a team doesn't translate an 18+ version just the all age version (i mean a licensed translator), or they are just hypocrites thinking they are better than us ? Is it possible that the company that made Eiyuu*Senki didn't gave the English translating team the license to translate the adult content ? Just curious, in the worst case scenario i will play the English and Japanse version simultaneously.
