Well I read it... though the english was quite hard to understand. However, I don't intend to post in that thread again. It's become a general trolling thread with people arguing. I made my statements for the original meaning of the post. Raging on every post that comes after won't change anything, and it makes a person look a bit less mature. I don't mean to put you down, it's your thread, you should be welcome to post in it. I just don't think that's the route I want to take myself.

yepyep, Violin in a Typhoon. Pretty awesome imagery if you ask me. And no worries about the friend request. I accept all those who deem me worthy enough to invite me to be their friends.

Thanks. I worry a bit that the background is too bright and clashing, but I think it works well enough. As to Deardrops, yes it's pretty amazing. It may not be as heavy or plot intensive as something like Fate/Stay or G-Senjou, but it has an overall good feeling to it.

To avoid cluttering that thread more than we already have, going to move the discussion here. The Tokimi and Kyouko routes are full adult versions from the expansion, and they have H-scenes just like the rest of the game that was dropped because the translators thought it 'didn't add to the story'. Therefore when you play the all ages translated game you are playing a hackjob censorship that only lets you see what others want you to see, not the full content of the game.

The expansion is fully 18+ just like the normal game, they had full H scenes. It does not have anything to do with not being a part of the story. Have you looked at the CGs? It's filled with tentacles, rape, gore, and child scenes. It's just pure censorship. They were worried that americans couldn't handle it, its really no different than taking the blood out of Naruto, or butchering One Piece because the 'american market', is only for kids you know.
And I will agree with you that H-scenes don't add to the story, but when certain scenes(like the MC's first meeting with Esperia, or during Aselia's route at the lake) it's painfully obvious that something should have happened. And I am an adult, I'll admit, I enjoy H-scenes. That's in part why I play these adult games instead of playing something more polished like a Jrpg or Final Fantasy or the like.

Thanks for the bithday wishes. Even if I don't write many wall o text's lately.

I don't know where you are getting your info, but the only extra content the censored version has is the expansion they added in. Now, I've not played the original, I can't read japanese, so I don't know how the interface changed, it could be more polished as you say. But from my experience I am 90% certain when I say that the english release does NOT have MORE content than the fully adult original. It would make no sense at all financially and even if they did add to it, it would be no better than anime filler created by the american companies to try and cover up the censorship. It all comes down to marketing: trying to target to an audience(kids) that the game was not meant for.

I probably wouldn't even care, except I enjoyed the story, was having a ton of fun in the game before I noticed this censorship stuff and learned just how much was taken out. It killed all the enjoyment I had for the game, and still upsets me. Hence, until we get a fully translated version(which I doubt will EVER happen), I refuse to recommend it to anyone else, without clarifying that they are watching an 'americanized butchered' version.
(2 parts because this conversation is too much for the forum character limit. XD)

yes, but, there is the 18+ version of the main game, and 18+ version of the expansion pack, then the butchered version of them both together in the 12+ verison we got. That means that if you play both the original game and the expansion instead of the censored version, you get more content, because stuff isn't censored out.
And I wouldn't trust that information from the discussion at VNDB. though you can see the info about the expansion and what it is in the details on the game. But that second link there just proves I'm not the only one who is pissed about the censorship. XD
They even talk about how the 'art changes' were because the characters looked too young for the american market. *pulls hair out in rage* Sometimes I REALLY hate being american...
