^ It's definitely a VN i've been wanting to read, but I don't have high hopes for it as far as it being an ongoing project.. especially after they admitted that quality won't be as good as the predecessor.

Lol both of those responses for Comyu finish time are MONTHS apart lol. I'm inclined to believe something sort of in the middle, at the rate it's going (about .5% per week, and currently about 86.5% done), that's about 27 weeks left, which is approximately 7 months because math. Granted, I'm hoping for a Thanksgiving release...

About 3 months ago: Translation was at 71%. 87% now. This is also with the one or two week break after releasing the second partial. 3 months is most likely, but you never know what will happen. Kind of silly predicting, but this is just assuming nothing goes wrong. Ixrec's computer could go to shit again with no TL progress for another 3 months or he could get Sheeta pregnant and just quit the VN scene all together.

If we get really lucky then it'll be a christmas release, otherwise first half of 2015.

For future reference, you can put that in this thread https://erogegames.com/website/community-collaborative/2292-games-missing/. But the patch that is out for that covers the common route + Chisato route, so while there are partial English translated downloads on this site, it's probably best just to wait for the full patch to post that since the TL is very close to being done (although editing/QC might still take some time).

Pro tip man: You don't have to make a new thread every time you have a question. You can use the shoutbox or VNTL translation thread which is relevant to your question. Right now there is only one route that is fully translated, but *rumors* are he's continuing the translation.

No full voice patch yet, it's in the making though. Probably won't be out for a long time though.

finished ef-a tale of two. Great vn, worthy of reading. Great music, voice acting. Story was good too. Sorry i just finished it, words aren't really coming to me as it was a emotional story. My only complain is the fact that i had several issues with the sound(it stopped working and i had to reinstall it and then change the directory to fix it), and the fact that there is no "Gallery" or a place to review the music or event cg's of ef (VERY IMPORTANT FEATURE FOR A VN LIKE THIS)

 

How good is ef anime?

Yeah, looks like you read the fan-translated version when you could have read the official version, but no big deal. The anime is pretty good, but like OMA said.. the one major thing that stops it from being a great adaptation is how they handled some of the Melodies. Still worth a watch IMO.

Not known yet. MG will announce it later, but apparently supposed to be a pretty good title and it probably doesn't have the word "anal" or "slavery" in it.

Essentially they're programs that take the raw Japanese text that you see in visual novels and translate them to English. Usually not recommended, but some people don't mind using it. A lot of times it's just a bunch of gibberish that gets spewed out, especially with the more complex VN's. Even with some of the simple VN's, it can look like ass. Download and see how Flyable Heart looks like if you want an example, and that was actually edited a bit.

It took them like 5 years to complete the translation of this. Let them have a couple more months until questions start popping up whether they will actually finish it.

Bringing it back on track: Is there any news at ALL with Comyu? That's my number one waiting list right now.

What exactly are you expecting? The partial patch with all routes excluding the true route was just released 2 or 3 weeks ago. He's starting up on the true route again, but it's the longest route and won't be done for a few more months most likely. Jumped about 800 lines earlier today.

 

 

That said, is it true that Mahoyo is kind of scheduled for next month?

They estimated 4 months if they had a dedicated editor who could work on it everyday. The translator still has to finish his TLC passes.. so.. i'm guessing it's PROBABLY going to be another few months.
