According to you 2 months ago, sometime around Thanksgiving But who knows, usually Amaterasu does do editing while it is being translated, but I remember Ixrec not being too happy with the QC quality, so that may play a role in releasing a patch later. We'll see in the next few days.

Ivan usually puts them up pretty quickly. He's on a trip/vacation right now, so that's why you don't see the new ones added yet.

Wonder how they would manage a all-ages Higurashi? I can't see it being a effective tale by snipping any of the darker stuff - in fact, that's what made the story so chilling~ And I don't recall much sexual content at all in it (other than some jokes and inuendo).

Higurashi IS all-ages. All-ages is just a term to describe anything that isn't 18+ nowadays. The MG version doesn't censor anything story-related (they did take out a few things like a few tracks due to copyright and some gameplay related thing). Only thing I can think of is one sprite that might be changed, but I highly doubt it because the sprite in question is still sold in the all ages version that MG sells.

No, they won't add them. But he's making it mod friendly so users can do whatever they want.

For Higurashi on Steam - Doddler confirmed you can pretty much use the new sprites or the original one. Also that he's working on making it compatible with the other mods (Ps2 sprites,etc). Plenty of choices.

About that.. it's a UMD format for psp, so it doesn't pass through Sony. They don't approve/disapprove it, it's technically the movie format. So while there are psp eroges, it doesn't get certified by Sony.

Higurashi on steam will have redrawn sprites. Might attract more people that way since people are picky about art.
