Also in those two months, I will be editing the original scripts as much as I can. Although Oxford Comma originally said that the editing will be fully complete by the two month milestone, that wasn't a very realistic goal. If Insem's script only needed a light editing pass, that would be doable. There is no true route. There is one short "bonus" route, All other routes are available from the start. I don't remember what needs to be done before unlocking the bonus route.

It's actually moving at a pretty good pace now. There were some issues holding things back before. Basically the translator was unfamiliar with many of the economic subjects that were getting brought up and felt uncomfortable translating it so they had to find a new one. Nowadays it's moving at like 3-5% per week. It should be fully translated in a few months.

They released the Hoshizora no Memoria patch on April 1st.

It's been there for like five months now. Only one way to find out how serious he is about it, and that's to wait and see.

They're using the old translation, they've been open about this from the beginning. They aren't just copy and pasting it, though, they have a large team extensively revamping the whole thing, including Koestl of Grisaia fame. I asked a couple weeks ago and got a curt "not dead" from them. I have no idea what's going on. They refuse to accept help for any possible issues holding them up, but aren't making any progress whatsoever, and yet they aren't dead? I'm starting to suspect a licensing deal, what with how things are nowadays.

That goal also encompasses the fandisc. Honestly, they are asking for too much, and they should probably have made the fan disc a stretch goal instead of part of the base goal.

The response to Kindred Spirits has been pretty positive. It has sold well on Steam and the opinions I've seen on fuwanovel/reddit/twitter are positive. It's already been confirmed, in fact. This will happen.

They are going to retranslate it. Insem has stated that Staircase Subs, the old fan translators, aren't involved at all. The fan translation was actually kind of bad. It was translated from a Chinese translation and contained a lot of mistranslations. It had decent editing so the layman can largely overlook it, but it's still a pretty flawed translation some with pretty major mistranslations. BTW, anyone know where the Amagami information comes from? It's not on their site.

Most of the top voted games in last year's survey were extremely unreasonable, like Fate/Stay Night (that license is literally impossible). Umineko and Rance appeared on last year's survey results, however, and they licensed Umineko and struck a deal with Alicesoft that will most probably result in Rance being licensed as soon as AS is comfortable with that.

We don't even know if it's "later" or not. My gut instinct tells me that since this is JAST, they'll want all versions to release as closely together as possible.
