  1. Maybe? It depends on how long the QC and image editing takes, the two things holding it back. It's definitely happening super soon.
  2. Yes, they normally do. Although recall back to Romanesque where they silently added a release date to the game's page on JAST's site just two weeks prior to the scheduled release. And then delayed it anyways. So this wouldn't be completely without precedent.
  3. I am hereby making the bold claim that Seinarukana will be released within the next five weeks. That's right, I'm saying October 13th at the latest. My predictions have been... not great. I was off on Princess Evangile by a good three months, for example. But I'm somewhat confident on this one.
  4. I mean, it goes a bit beyond "simple nudity", the CGs depict them having sex, they just obscure the genitals. And with somewhat explicit narration to go with it, naturally. I don't know of any game that was disallowed on the platform for "simple nudity".
  5. It's not like Commie has been sitting around up until now, they have recruited multiple editors over the past year to try to finish things up with Mahoyo. They all keep disappearing on them, though. Word is the raw translated script needs a lot of editing work and the editors bail after a week or two of wrestling with it. According to Herkz, their latest recruited editor is doing a good job and has been making steady progress for over a month now with no signs of him quitting. So really, it's just a coincidence that this is happening at the same time as Loe announcing his translation.
  6. Bummer about the Shiny Days digital delay, they were maintaining that it could reach the 25th date until the very end. You know, if they're not so sure about that release estimate, they should say so straight up instead of mislead them. Well, the digital version seems like it will still fall within the estimate I gave a couple weeks ago. For all the time I've spent thinking about the future releases of eroge translations, I somehow completely forgot that JAST claims Seinarukana is coming out next month. From a tweet earlier today, it seems like they're still holding firm on that September release. So what's their plan, Shiny Days and Seinarukana next month, Sumaga in October, Flowers in November, and Sonicomi in December? That's a pretty packed schedule. God damn, there are going to be so many releases these next few months, I'm a loser NEET and I still probably won't have the time to read everything.
  7. Neither MangaGamer nor anyone from the community have expressed any interest in translating that. Nor Da Capo 2 Plus Communication, which I want a lot more.
  8. They're still planning on releasing the digital version tomorrow. They have not said how long the delay will be for the physical version. I believe everyone who ordered the physical version will get download codes tomorrow anyways.
  9. It seems that White Album 2 IC's script has been going through some pretty serious revisions lately. I wonder if they'll actually manage to salvage that one.
  10. We were talking about Lilium x Triangle, you're talking about Flowers. JAST plans on translating all four Flowers games. Only two are out right now, but they have already committed to translating the third and fourth as they're released.
  11. Okay. Lilium x Triangle Translation Project - Translation Projects - Fuwanovel Forums
  12. Things usually take a bit of time when companies announce official translations, because licensing deals take time and they have to find room in their schedules to actually translate it, which is a time consuming process. JAST is definitely interested in translating more Empress titles and have talked openly on their forums about which titles they may or may not want to license next, but that's as far as they've gone. There are no fan translations for any of those games in the works or in the planning stages. Pretty much what you see here is what we're getting as far as VN translations goes. As for what we play, I suppose what's popular around here is usually much less extreme and fetishistic than your typical Empress title. A popular set of recently translated eroge are Majikoi and Majikoi S. They focus heavily on comedy and absurd action over a deep plot or porn (although there is still some porn, especially in S). That's the kind of thing that's popular these days.
  13. Also the translation project for the PSP version of the first game has surpassed 20,000 lines translated.
  14. There's also a translation project for nukige Hoka no Onna no Ko to H wo Shiteiru Ore wo Mite Koufun Suru Kanojo: https://washitranslation.wordpress.com/hoka-no-onna-no-ko-to-h-wo-shiteiru-ore-wo-mite-koufun-suru-kanojo-progress/ It's at 36% after a couple months.
  15. Like I said earlier in this thread, FA HAS been picked up by someone. It's an anonymous someone who apparently hasn't been making much progress so don't start hyping yourself over it, but there is interest in continuing it. Edit: Latest update on fortune arterial from the hacker: http://ask.fm/CryingWestern Also, thanks Desi.
  16. Hey Desi, what's your source on Schatten?
  17. They won't translate that. The group lead doesn't like it too much and they're doing something else instead.
  18. Someone contacted CryingWestern, a prolific hacker at fuwanovel, and started working on the FA scripts with him. But it's a mysterious anonymous translator and we haven't heard anything in months. Last word was in April, where progress was slow: https://cryingtranslation.wordpress.com/2015/04/25/end-of-month-update-april-edition/
  19. You rang? Okay, so, possible within a month: Subahibi. I want to believe. I don't think Herkz has ever said anywhere exactly how long it's going to take to finish the second edit pass on the parts that need it, and to resolve the technical issues, but judging on how these things go, I think within a month is a reasonable estimate. Shiny Days. I doubt this will be delayed for more than a week or two. Anything more than a two week delay would be really unfortunate. Within two months: Maybe Koichoco. Judging by their pace, they are bound to finish QC within six weeks of their last update, one week ago. So assuming they have everything ready to go once QC finishes, that should be out soon. Koisuru Natsu no Last Resort. They have to give another edit pass to two routes they weren't planning for so the release will be pushed back some, but they still seem optimistic on a summer release. Within three months: euphoria. The beta just went out yesterday. The project is a little behind schedule but if the beta goes smoothly it should be out within this time frame. Clannad. I actually wouldn't be surprised if SP got this out ahead of schedule with how smoothly everything is going. Kara no Shoujo 2. MG is saying fall, I'm thinking another late October release if we're lucky. Flowers. Might stretch a bit beyond the three month window, actually, into late november. It's hard to say, I don't know how much stock to put into JAST's fall prediction so I'm putting this as far back as possible. Noble Works. I'm confident the boys at The Oxford Comma is Superior Subs can deliver us this within that time frame. They're suggesting an "Octember" release. Either way, I'm probably getting it because I'm gonna be a tester. Wildcards: Leyline. Seems a technical issue has sent this release into a shinikiss-style state of purgatory. It could be released at virtually any point from tomorrow to the heat death of the universe. Speaking of this, for how long has the "95% done" part been next to the "fix technical issues" part of the todo list? That seems like a bit of news I missed. GGN 2015. lol, who cares. On a related note, partly out of boredom, and partly to debunk a negative nancy's dire predictions, I posted an analysis of MangaGamer's backlog and when you can expect to see each game: https://vndb.org/t6794#8. Of note, I predict that Himawari could release this year as well (december?) and Gahkthun, despite MG's intention to release it late this year, might get pushed back to early next. I make this prediction based on my lack of confidence in MG's ability to beta test products expediently. edit: Oh yeah, and at some point Sumaga is supposed to release this year. Let's just say, uhh.... hmm. Yeah. I don't think so. Sonicomi in December, Flowers in November, and Sumaga in January is my guess for JAST. Even though Sumaga was supposed to be released this summer and is currently estimated for a fall release, I don't have any faith in JAST. Seinarukana? lmao. Okay, to be real, I think one of either sumaga or seinarukana might release this year but I'm really at a loss for how to predict these.
  20. He's not working on BB2 yet, and we do not know what he's working on instead, nor do we have any idea of when it will finish. You just have to be patient and wait.
  21. At this point, it seems likely that a steam release would outsell a PSN release so them doing it PS3-only is extra disappointing. Speaking of delays, according to a JAST employee, it seems likely that Shiny Days will not make the planned August 25th release date due to an unexpected crash bug occurring during some endings.
  22. You should wait for the main trilogy first, since you're meant to read that first.
  23. Harmonia is Key's next game, a Planetarian-sized kinetic novel: https://vndb.org/v16510
  24. Then wait for the upcoming Noble Works fan translation in a few months, and Tenshin Ranman whenever that happens. Yuzusoft's moege tends to be pretty light on the drama, and even the drama they do have tends to be pretty exaggerated and comical. It's not quite as whimsical as Majikoi was, but then again quite seriously nothing else is. Majikoi is unique even among untranslated VNs, there is nothing else quite like it. Yuzusoft's games don't have absurd action, but aside from that they are at least in the same ballpark in terms of tone.
  25. In more news: I don't know who this guy is, but he's going to attempt to translate flyable hearts: edit: In even more news: Chuablesoft is proactively talking with potential localization partners, and Harmonia might be a simultaneous English/Japanese release.
