I had the same issue. Figured out my problem.

 

1. be sure to have your computer language for non-unicode set to Japanese.

2. be sure you are not trying to start the game from a location using signs like "µ" in their folder name.

3. be sure uac is turned off or are running it as admin.

well you togo where you installed it and open the application that doesnt say uninstall

The route with his(/her?) sister was too short.. Considering the another scenes would be hellish scenes, I stopped there though
