Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo

I love the fact that Houzuki, being the main villain, is Kenichi's teacher and mentor. It's a great twist, full of badass moments, this is honestly my fav VN, it's not a secret.

Loved it, probably the best VN I have read so far.

Right, my laptop is Xp and has app-locale installed and also has Asian languages and fonts active. Please can someone give me simple for dummies instructions on how to make this game run in English. I'd be so grateful as I'd love to play this and Aprofile.

1. open the first rar file with 'winrar' or '7zip'

2. copy the iso file to somewhere

3. mount the iso file with 'daemon tools' or 'virtual clonedrive'

4. install the game from the mounted CD (setup should start automatically)

5. copy the patch into the gamefolder

6. play the game

Blue box means your locale isn't in Japanese. You'll need to fully switch to Japanese locale if you want to play these games. If you've been using Applocale, then it won't be enough.

And simply for being late too, unless I'm misunderstanding something. This seems like a pretty dark game. She was cute to boot, I was hoping she would have a route or something.

It definitely will be. An interesting ride? Sharin no Kuni? Yea for sure. It kinda sounds like you're into stories like these, so it's pretty much guaranteed for you.

Go play it and don't look into it too much on the forum or on the net. Getting spoiled on this one sucks a lot.

I heard they actually planned to make a route for Eri in the original game when it was still in development, so they drew her tachie (sprite) and all, but it seems that they scrapped the idea and instead used her character to show just how dark the story could be. Pretty daring move if I do say so myself.

The golden girl in the back (the first pic) look just like Eri, right? http://vndb.org/v57.25 And then they replace her in the 2nd pic with Ririko. (She was originally planned not to be featured in anywhere since they wanted readers to think she's insignificant and kept her as a surprise.)

At first I thought that this will be yet another game in which the MC is know-all of some sorts , good looks and everything , but after a few hours of gameplay I couldn't believe how wrong I was . From my point of view the story is the main attraction here and characters second .

Play it , you will not regret doing so .

PS : An anime adaptation would've been great .

If anyone gets an error similar to NickFreja's I suggest following the link Gerard the Lone Wolf posted, the nodvd patch worked for me and the game runs.
