I honestly can't think of a VN like Saya no Uta. Maybe something like Higurashi.... but even that's pretty different. Saya is a pretty unique VN.

EDIT: Also check out Hanachirasu and Kikokugai - The Cyber Slayer. Again, nothing similiar plot wise... but they both have a dark setting and they're made by the same company that made Saya No Uta.

its not so bad when you got used to it....... i guess.......

It's not as brutal or violent as people are making it sound. I mean, you're just viewing a still picture, hearing sounds and reading some text. It can't compare to a movie of the same category. It's not so bad at all. It's not hard on the eyes, but rather on the stomach. Because some of the things that you'll read in this are somewhat extreme; rape, cannibalism etc. Story-wise it's great, though. The emotion is there, the depth is there and so is the realism(to an extent).

But yes, it's a great VN alright, in several ways. It's something very different from the usual, which is certainly commendable.
