War of the Human Tanks

Recommended Posts

How can a war be a "proxy" war if it's fought with each country's military? To be a proxy war, there has to be at least one third party: Proxy war article.

"A proxy war or proxy warfare is a war that results when opposing powers use third parties as substitutes for fighting each other directly. While powers have sometimes used governments as proxies, violent non-state actors, mercenaries, or other third parties are more often employed."

"The war raging between the Empire of Japon and the Kingdom of Japon has turned into a proxy war fought between Human Tanks on both sides."

Sounds to me you're looking at a textbook example of a proxy war. It doesn't mean a third party intervening in a war, it means the powers using someone else to do their fighting.
