Harlequin Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Spider Lily Translations blog: The unforgiving flowers have bloomed… The Second Night patch and digital downloads are out! To start reading (the first) Higanbana right now, or to not start reading Higanbana right now... that is the question.
battlerrules Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 To start reading (the first) Higanbana right now, or to not start reading Higanbana right now... that is the question. Read Higanbana -.-
Gerard the Lone Wolf Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 To start reading (the first) Higanbana right now, or to not start reading Higanbana right now... that is the question. It's a bad VN, so don't.
Helvetica Standard Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Two years or something like that. Why? Unless they purposefully troll us with a snails pace (or the VN is shitty) I see the tl finalising in 6 months, 8 tops.
Shadolance Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 To those of you that helped me this week with the info on Grisaia no Miekyuu, kudos, thanks, aregatou!
Ryu Posted February 8, 2014 Author Posted February 8, 2014 (edited) It's a bad VN, so don't. Higanbana is horseshit, so is ryukishi. Discuss Edited February 8, 2014 by Ryu
Daeverius Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 higanbana is horseshit, so is ryukishi. flame war start now ftfy
ale137 Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Higanbana is horseshit, so is ryukishi. Discuss *picks up a torch and pitchfork * so it begins...
Shadolance Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Too bad I agree with Higanbana sucking. And blowing.
Gerard the Lone Wolf Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 (edited) And I was just kidding with that post too. lol Butler knows I like Higanbana. Edited February 8, 2014 by Gerard the Lone Wolf
Gerard the Lone Wolf Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 (edited) ^ Shadolance is serious business though. No joke. Edited February 8, 2014 by Gerard the Lone Wolf
hyromaru Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 ^^ i agree, Keep them torches and pitchforks close..
Shadolance Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Sorry mate, I just can't stand older animation styles. There are FEW exceptions, and most of them are anime, not VNs. I like Ranma 1/2, and I like most of the stuff by MangaGamer. That's about it though.
ale137 Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 i prefer a good story before graphics, yu-no is the next vn in my list
DragonBall89 Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 i prefer a good story before graphics, yu-no is the next vn in my list in my case that has to be a really really good story, not that i am picky but Higanbana just looks prehistoric, this of course doesn't rule out the possibility of a good story.
Daeverius Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 in my case that has to be a really really good story, not that i am picky but Higanbana just looks prehistoric, this of course doesn't rule out the possibility of a good story. Try that YU-NO then. There is a reason why it gets so many 10s with that graphic.
battlerrules Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Yu-No is definitely one of the best novels I have ever read so hopefully you enjoy it as much as myself
alexismaster Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Loking at the SS in VNDB... YU-NO Graphics are way BETTER than Higanbana's. Yu-nos's looks "old" or "classic", but higanbana's looks... well... just look at their faces :S Gotta read Yu-no, after all the thousand of thing I have to read/watch.
battlerrules Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Tell me moar plz need moar. My life wont be complete until you continue
ale137 Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 i just look at the graphics and i dont see anything strange, it has more shadows than higurashi and umineko, bit based in the review maybe its because it has darker themes. then again i always choose graphics last, in the war between graphics and gameplay i always pick gamplay Yu-No is definitely one of the best novels I have ever read so hopefully you enjoy it as much as myself im sure i will enjoy it, i only played the first part to test it im my laptop and i love it. it remind me of the old adventure games like monkey island and spellcasting and those are among my favourites.
