Visual Novels Translation Status [09/14/2014]

Isn't the only thing different in TA ME some added voices, including for the protagonist? And it's an all ages release, not that the h scenes were worth a damn in that game. According to VNDB, there's an 18+ "Perfect Edition" coming out later this month. I wonder what that's about, anyone know?

Expanded ending for the ME edition. Perfect edition will have expanded endings, redesigned CGs, and updated 18+ stuff. Basically just Key just milking a release.. has everything in one though for those that wanted both, but doubt it'll get translated.

I played the ME edition some years ago but I can't remember if Tomoya was voiced or not. But here are some differences I can remember.

-single (and unfortunately stupid looking) sprite for Tomoya

-different ending (which you'll most likely dislike if you liked the original one)

-some more lines and one or two new scenes (which were anything but amazing)

All in all totally not worth it if you already played the standard version.

What about KoiCho they said about two weeks right?

Koichoco? No, there's no estimate on that. Their editor just started up med school and is busy, says he'll return to editing once his first exam is done... I don't know when that is but you should be prepared to wait a while, since he just started.

It is one of the games in the list I'm looking forward to most, though. I played the partial and it wasn't fantastic or anything but I liked it a fair amount. Compared to most of the rest, which I'm uncertain on.

Thanks for the info. Even if it isn't fantastic I will still play it. Except for the endless nukige, the only games that seem to get translated are ones of that rating. I mean its like every really good game is either shelved (Fortune arterial) or gets a partial patch just to tease us (11eyes, Baldr Sky, Draco Riot) but that's just life I guess.

Some sprite examples from Steam Higurashi that has shown up lately:

I'm impressed by most of the ones they've shown so far. I'm also glad that Rena's semi-hidden zettai ryouiki will be in there. That's how it should be anyway, based on the original art. (PS2 art didn't show it)

Edit: they just shared Ooishi as well... this version looks a bit more serious than the PS2 one. The eyes are quite different, which is the same for all of these sprites really. Clothing details are perfect, which is ALSO the same for all these new sprites.

Indeed, the last third of the year will be very busy.

Romanesque has gone up for preorder a few days ago and arudoc says that the only thing left to be done is translating some images in the credits. This is JAST so expect the worst, but it seems possible that it will also be out before the end of the year.
