Its Sekai so they will probably just use the old translation or make it worse.

Let's hope they use the version of Hoshimemo with the new VA for Chinami atleast.

 

Also Noble Works apparently got a new patch on 12th with some translation improvements and support for the recently released official DL version.

Are they going to retranslate Hoshizora no Memoria entirely or just borrow the previous translation and add a golden touch to it ? I haven't read it yet but i don't remember anyone complaining about the quality of the translation in the comment section.

 

They are going to retranslate it. Insem has stated that Staircase Subs, the old fan translators, aren't involved at all.

 

The fan translation was actually kind of bad. It was translated from a Chinese translation and contained a lot of mistranslations. It had decent editing so the layman can largely overlook it, but it's still a pretty flawed translation some with pretty major mistranslations.

 

BTW, anyone know where the Amagami information comes from? It's not on their site.

Kindred Spirits was a pretty decent read. First yuri title I've liked in a long time.

 

I'm still reading through it but it is one of the better romance titles (yuri or not) out there. It's pretty great, but I still think Aoi Shiro will stay as my #1 favorite yuri vn.

there is really nothing i disliked about Aoishiro, the art was awesome the soundtrack was very good and i liked the story as well, though i think it was a bit dragged, sometimes it felt like One Piece now, and sometimes it felt like everything is happening too fast. Though i agree it is indeed a great all age yuri VN, though my vote still goes to Maou on G-string :p .

For those who haven't seen the Aokana update, apparently the whole 'TL and editing finished' thing was a bit of a fib. They're now aiming for an October release this year... which is pretty disappointing honestly. *Sigh*.

 

I might get a good VN to read eventually...

 

It might be disappointing but considering Koichoco took three years... Aokana TL only started last year... the speed is quite high.

Looks like Mangagamer is having some issues with their payment system currently, was wondering why it wasn't working when I tried picking up Kindred Spirits.

Guess providing complimentary Steam keys has it's drawbacks.

 

You may be aware that for the weekend our website has been unable to process payments. We’ve been hard at work trying to remedy this issue, but it may take some time to resolve. The issue is a rather complicated one.

 

Over the past few months we have been suffering from a drastically heightened number of fraudulent purchases using stolen credit cards on our site. The fraudulent activity has been focused almost exclusively on games that come with Steam keys, with the intent to re-sell on third party websites.

 

By the time the chargeback occurs and the victim receives their money back, this small yet determined group or individual has already taken the complimentary Steam keys we offer with these titles and sold them elsewhere. Each fraudulent purchase and subsequent chargeback severely damages our relationship with our payment processor, gateway, and creditors.

 

We’ve been making every attempt possible to thwart these illegitimate purchases with some limited success in the past months; however, as a small business we lack the resources to mitigate the risks associated with offering complimentary Steam keys, and with great regret we must announce that we will not be able to provide them for the foreseeable future.

 

Purchases on our site will be disabled while we work with our payment processor to sort this issue out. Users who have previously purchased games that have been advertised to come with a Steam key will still be able to retrieve their keys, but future purchases of our titles will not be provided with Steam keys.

 

We will be keeping you all updated on when our site can resume accepting payments or we have a temporary workaround in place. In the meantime, our Steam titles are available for purchase on Steam.

 

We sincerely hope to be able to revisit this topic in the future and can find a way to safely resume offering this service to our loyal customers. Thank you all for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

 

Update 2/16/15 5AM EST: We’ve got coupon and point-only order processing back up. If you have enough MG points to make a purchase or a coupon code from a bundle site or other offer, you should be able to complete a transaction as you normally would with those methods now.

Notice Regarding Winged Cloud Titles ? MangaGamer Staff Blog

 

Mangagamer has stopped their partnership with Winged Cloud.

 

Regretfully, we must announce that MangaGamer will no longer be publishing Winged Cloud games, including the previously announced title, Sakura Dungeon. Due to intractable creative differences, we have been forced to let Winged Cloud go, and will no longer be able to offer support for their current or future titles.

 

Fans may still purchase Winged Cloud titles from us from now until February 29th, and those who do will be able to have access to the MangaGamer Editions, which were updated from their original source by our quality assurance team. These editions will no longer be available for public purchase after February 29th. Sakura Santa on Steam will be transferred to Winged Cloud’s new publisher and updated to their version of the title. If you would like to retain the MangaGamer version of the game, make sure you uncheck “automatic updates” for the game by February 29th.
