Rain Spectre 30
Sengoku Rance is in beta? Guess we can expect a release date soon. Also, I hope JAST gives some kind of status update soon...
Rain Spectre 30
Really wish one of the translation houses would pick up light's material. Their VNs look awesome, yet the only one we have in English is Dies Irae.
Dio Brando 415
Kyonyuu Fantasy 2 was announced , great ! "I have a theory that Mangagamer is trying to work with Waffle with releasing this series' games in chronological order. Thus, upon doing so, after Kyonyuu Fantasy 2 (or again Funbag Fantasy 2) is released, Kyonyuu Fantasy Gaiden 2 will follow after it, then KF2 IF, then Gaiden 2 After, etc. based on the general dates of their original releases." That seems to be the case , so we can expect more Kyonyuu Fantasy titles in the future. Really wish one of the translation houses would pick up light's material. Their VNs look awesome, yet the only one we have in English is Dies Irae. I think Kajiri Kamui Kagura should be the next light's title translated , 'Cause it's basically a "sequel" to Dies Irae (Marie Route)
TakiMinase 148
I think Kajiri Kamui Kagura should be the next light's title translated , 'Cause it's basically a "sequel" to Dies Irae (Marie Route) Keep dreaming. The reason we even got Dies irae in the first place was because the TLers who did it really wanted to bring it over here. Light poorly handled their Kickstarter, and it's likely that we might not see another light VN in a while, if at all. And don't count on fanTLers, you need highly professional ones to handle light VNs (chuuniges are hardest to translate).
napoleon 134
The future of Western VNs and eroge is kyonyuu. Manga gamer has our breast interests in mind.

Yeah , yeah , I'm aware of that I heard that Kajiri Kamui Kagura uses lots of feudal/archaic japanese, just reading it is very difficult, which makes a fan TL project almost impossible. Anyways, this is just a wishful thinking of mine , just like when I ask for Chronobox. xD As a certain member of this forum said "Let's have faith!"
Zero Dilemma 338
@ Little shogun, maybe you should exclude Ushinawareta from the next VNTS. Luna translations, the group that's responsible for the translation was disbanded in the early 2017 (the last update on their blog was from January 2017). Luna Translations Sure, former members of the group still kicking and translating, but they even take out Ushinawareta from their progess page here: Projects There is also this thread that confirm my suspicion that the translation effort was already dead since some time ago. Is Ushinawareta Mirai o Motomete still being translated? - Visual Novel Talk - Fuwanovel Forums Furthermore, Vndb has already removed the english release on the Vn page. Ushinawareta Mirai o Motomete I know, it suck...

Dies irae is still one of my most favorite VNs of all time. KKK and other titles by light are also very high on my wishlist, but I am aware that it's pointless to dream about them at the moment xD ... Same for Chronobox. I heard Chronobox has advanced JP grammar, so again, you need a very skilled TLer to handle it. All in all, we should be very happy with what we got so far. And enjoy any future titles that come out. HYBRID BEING 27
Might as well remove Daitoshokan. It's been a year and a half since it finished editing. So close, though ;_;
Zero Dilemma 338
The good news is that Candiru, a Tl from the Ulmf has completed yet another hrpg translation titled: Exile of Summoning Princess Pristella. If you guys interested, just google it (In fact it already up on Hentaibedta).

Pasa 278
Related to this discussion, anyone know why no one has picked up Eushully's games yet? If you mean officially everyone has tried but Eushully isn't interested.
Rain Spectre 30
Really? Huh, guess that means I'll have to stick to fan translations then. I do wonder what motivates that sort of mindset though.
TakiMinase 148
Really? Huh, guess that means I'll have to stick to fan translations then. I do wonder what motivates that sort of mindset though. The last I heard about the Eushully matter was that they ask too much for the licenses and... they also think piracy is too widespread in the west. They think even the JP side might pirate the English releases for the uncensored art, which is just another concern for them.
Rain Spectre 30
Just a note, but I hope Fraternite gets an announcement soon. Reading the premise makes me genuinely interested in it.
napoleon 134
I am a fan of the "out-of-focus" style background Fraternite employs, the only other VN I can think of that uses the same technique is Katawa Shoujo. This seems like a fairly heavy VN especially in regards to it being a 'novel'. Is there any news concerning a localization or is this a pipe dream tier VN?
Zero Dilemma 338
In times like these, let us hope for the best, but also prepare for the worst.
Rain Spectre 30
Mangagamer has already done Euphoria and is doing Maggot Baits, so it's definitely a positive chance IMO.
stkrge 172
i hope mangagamer reliese next month Hapymaher Hapymaher
Rain Spectre 30
Hmm, certinetely seems possible. As for the VN itself, it looks like something I'll play. Anything that isn't a nukige or generic romance VN is on my potential list.
Dio Brando 415
Hapymaher attracts me enough ,I'll definitely give it a try. From what I can read in the description , this VN seems to have a good story to cover all the ''high sexual content" I had forgotten that MG have this title on their list , but I don't think they'll release it next month stkrge , sadly. Ivan 163
The last I heard about the Eushully matter was that they ask too much for the licenses JP market squeeze (eroge sales are dropping every year) will eventually force them to negotiating table, if they want to keep lights on. Key wanted six-digits for rights to "Clannad" initially too. they also think piracy is too widespread in the west. Jast&co were complaining 24/7 about evil pirates ruining them, when their shovelware/censored/already fantranslated games didn't sell as well as they wanted, so they reap what they sow now. Actual ratio of units sold:units pirated in western developed countries (If you count someone from Vietnam, Brazil or Philippines, who earns 300$/month, that's downloading your 60$ game as "lost sale", you're fucking retarded) is similar, if not lower than in Japan. They think even the JP side might pirate the English releases for the uncensored art, which is just another concern for them. Well... they aren't wrong. Open up any torrent with western release, and you will see thousands of Japanese IP in peer list.
