It runs off soon after, with Tamaki chasing after it. Soon Tamaki finds herself in a place where ‘it doesn’t feel like the world I came from’. She gets attacked by three slime creatures, and a male comes charging in to save her - by clamping his hands around her body and mouth and telling her to be quiet. Chitanda is a calm beautiful girl but she turns into an embodiment of curiosity once she says, "I'm interested in it (Watashi, Kininarimasu)". Fukube is a smiling boy with a fantastic memory, he never deduces anything on his own. Ibara is a short girl and is strict with others and herself. She loves Fukube, but he always dodges her approaches. They begin to investigate a case that occurred 33 years ago. He encounters a girl at a shooting range and finds her marksmanship skills to be professional. The girl tells the new teacher that she is an assault rifle, not a student. Her name is FNC and is an assault rifle of Seishou Academy. The new teacher attends school the next day to find students, including FNC, practicing shooting M16s and realizes that he has come to an unbelievable school. How will his experience be at Seishou Academy? Medaka Box was probably one of the best mangas i've read at the time, but now...im not to hot about it. Accel World? 50%=fat, 49%=weird ugly silver creep, 1%=fat. I can't watch any sequels or tie ins because I skipped their originals and I am playing catch up (I always wait for them to be completely aired for some reason) and some of the original stuff has similar concepts to stuff a couple seasons ago (AKB0048 reminds me of Idol Master. I wonder which one will be better). Then again a lot of them sound REALLY good this time around too. LIKE LUPIN. AGH I CAN'T WAIT FOR THAT ONE. Haika 12 Posted April 6, 2012 Share Posted April 6, 2012 As I've said before, I'm waiting for Sankarea. It's been one of my favorite manga for a while now. So far this season I've sampled Accel World, and a strange one called Shirokuma Cafe. I didn't think Accel World was that bad of a concept, but there are a few things there that may keep it from being very good. It has a campy younger audience feel to it that reminds me of the first time I watched Digimon or Yugioh. That sense of mysticism and adventure without being too serious that the first couple of seasons those long running anime series had. Many reviews and places I've read seem to have an issue with how the main character is drawn as a short chubby guy, in basically a different art style than just about everyone else. I don't mind this as much as the fact that he willingly uses a pig avatar in a second-life or .hack virtual world instead of something decent. Either way the core of the show seems to be the typical fighting in virtual space type thing with duels that remind me very much of Yugioh with elements of .hack thrown in. Shirokuma Cafe is something totally different, and not listed here actually. Polar Bear Cafe. The story of a random slice of life type comedy anime, where humans and animals walk, talk, and intermingle at a cafe. It's quite odd, but at the same time I've seen much much worse. My first impressions here are good for this being a replacement for that sort of relaxed humor I've gotten from shows like Lucky Star, K-On!, and last season's Kill Me Baby. My first impressions here are good for this being a replacement for that sort of relaxed humor I've gotten from shows like Lucky Star, K-On!, and last season's Kill Me Baby. I watched the first Ep of Shirokuma Cafe. It was kinda dull for me, but I've see worse as well. They really went overkill with the voice cast for this one... Edit: I've watched Sankarea now as well. I liked the OP since I like nano.RIPE. It was decent, seems that the show will be a bit slow. I dunno if Studio Deen ruined it as people were feared since I haven't read the manga yet. Medaka Box next! Edit2: Finished Medaka Box ep1, it was so-so. I found Medaka kinda annoying most of the time, she kinda reminds me of Shino from Seitokai Yakiundomo without being that much perverted. I found the episode rather average, kind of a "problem of the week" show. Also it's a bit over the top for my taste, but i'll keep watching to see if it gets better. It was just a general zombie fetish, the 'romance' part was inferred, but not bluntly announced like the first few moments here. This seems to make it a bit more creepy than the manga, at least to me. And I remember that Rea's clothes seemed much darker, and more Goth-like. Maybe the anime is trying to emphasis that she's still alive, but only time can prove how that turns out. Also in a random, but not really bad note, They increased Rea's bust size. >.> This may change as things continue, but in the manga part of her character was a nearly skeletal skinniness. Other than that this episode follows the first chapter quite well. I suppose I can approve of how things turned out, as long as things stick to little superficial changes and the important stuff stays the same. It will be interesting to see how much ecchi and gore is allowed in the anime compared to the manga as well, the little we see of Babu's bandages show no blood, so I'm thinking that it may be a bit censored at the very least. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote Link to post Share on other sites

The anime didn't show this, but I checked out the first 3 chapters of the manga as well, and there they showed that he actually made a decent avatar, but the delinquent (what was his name) stole it from him and gave him the pig in return. I know nothing of the series, but I recognize the name from the list of series that had characters cast in the Wii game Capcom vs. Tatsunoko so I thought "Hellz yeah! Let's do this!" Never saw any of the Lupin the 3rd series, so I guess now's a good time to start as I've heard of it A LOT. I was kind of interested in Mysterious Girlfriend X. Until I saw episode 1. That show is pretty freakin' weird, and I'm an intermediate weirdo as it is. I don't think that one's for me. Sankarea looks quite interesting. I'mma think I'll watch that one. The choice for the BGM was really good as well. Especially near the end of the episode, it really added to the WTFs I was having. The best way to describe the 1st ep is - What is this i don't even...
