nitzors Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I'm currently having a problem trying to start it I get this error "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect reinstalling this application may fix this problem" I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times and still nothing any help would be appreciated. I'm having the exact same problem. I'm running Windows XP Service Pack 2. Quote

Sgrumbledore Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 I've also got a problem with schooldays HQ. i downloaded the torrent version, exctracted the files but when i click on install the following error appear: you cant' install for xxxx reason files xxx not valid. Also when i reclicked seup it started normally wtf. Quote

ggigox Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Hi. I have istalled the game. It have worked fine for now. I have finished the 1st chapter en everything is right. But there is a problem: I can't save the game. When I click on "Save", the novel asks me to put a comment. After writing anything, it just don't save nothing. I have seen my installation folder, and it's like there are missing files. For example: Config.dat, the cause of most of the problems, is not there. I know I have to be grateful for this (?), but my concerns are that there may be somo other missing files. Can someone sent me a capture screen from the game main folder to see if there something missing on mine? Or at least, explain me how to solve the "I can't save" problem. Quote

CCCP was good back in the old days, now it sucks ballz. i just give them an alternative codec source cause everyone have their own taste... personally i like K-Lite Mega Codec Pack better, but those advanced options can be a pain to some newbie... DarkEclipse Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 (edited) Ok I uninstalled and reinstalled my Graphics Driver, and it still has the "DX3D" error message, sigh....I don't really know where to go from here. I did uninstall and reinstall the game and the game does open the first time, but when I close it out and try to open it again the error pops up again, same happened when I installed it the first time as well. Sgrumbledore Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 (edited) i downloaded it form the torret twice, but every time after i unpacked this happens: 1) click on 1st disc setup "stranger erro, something failed cannot install" 2) if i reclick on the setup the game will start installing but at a certain point it stops. I don't know anything if you tell me " a strange error appeareed, something failed cannot install". That should be the solution you are looking for regarding the second error. Quote
Mareeck Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 (edited) Don't know if someone said it already that's just a lot of posts. But if somebody wondered how to maximize the windowed game, because it can't be normally resized and the maximize button doesn't work here's a solution: Open the Task Manager, right click the School Days exe and choose maximize(At least that's how i did it on Win 7) I may be telling an obvious thing but I took me a while to get to it myself so i thought someone else could have the same problem. EDIT: I guess when you maximize it the buttons are misplaced and it may be a little hard to choose the options or saving but it may be worth trying Edited July 21, 2012 by Mareeck Quote
