Game is a grind fest for the most part so yeah. If you want to level up very quickly then simply attend all speeches (most of them put you into battles which yield tons of exp) be warned though, attending all speeches will destroy any possibility to get the secret weapon at chapter's end and H-the bosses.

(Most likely) Your windows user account has strange symbols on it (stars, hearts or stuff like that) rename your account or create a new account with a normal name like: "John Smith" for example. then uninstall completely,(don't forget to also delete the MEMORIA folder from "my documents") reinstall and try running the game again.

You'll have a hard time finding a VN with many complex animations. What you're looking for is maybe a different genre, like a videogame with hugeass amounts of text and some mugshot scenes. You can try: *Agarest, generations of war *Riviera the promised land *Persona (1,2,3,4) Those are a few examples of videogames with VN elements, they are not eroge or VN at all but i assure you they have animations and gameplay.

It's not the lappies or the RAM, It's the engine. DMC was programmed with Ren'py This is an infamous "memory overflow" error that happens sometimes when handling many lines of code. Using 1 or 2 script sheets manages to save a lot of resources but this is not the case with DMC (conventionally speaking the game is poorly coded and not optimized for low end pc's) What you can do is to try and run it under compatibility settings for XP and disable transitions and effects within the settings menu, this will prevent the game from crashing often. maybe some people feel the need to bloat their registry with installer scrap. :/ Best way to keep the registry clean is to avoid installing too much shit. I prefer "extract and play" software for this very reason. X3

if you're using a real psp, it will crash randomly, best bet is to save often. if you're using emulator (ppsspp): you can download and install the atrac3+ plugin (not included in the download because it's harmful to computers) I can't really recommend this to you but take the leap if you're so inclined. If the plugin does not help with audio issues, then nothing will. for the moment... XD You can wait on the next ppsspp version (I am waiting on it XD) as it will feature native audio support and audio plugin improvements.

Update: :3 -Drawing ending screens on my own (yes that means those will be made entirely by me, no placeholders. X3) -Creating an opening video! Hardest thing ever! but don't worry I'll manage, the most troublesome part will be to sync the music. The song I'm using for the opening is: Kiri, by Monoral. 5, 6 hours per chapter more o less 7000+ lines to work on for each chapter....... LOL, JUST KIDDING!! xD NOW , SERIOUSLY, EACH CHAPTER LASTS 1+ HOUR, WITH SOME CHAPTERS BEING A LITTLE LONGER. Condensed framework consists of 12 chapters + Yaoi event arc. I'm 2 chapters away from completing common route, which will clock at 10 hours approx. Next are the heroines routes: Kanade's and Akane's being the shortest at 3 hours long each. Yuki's route will be 4 hour-ish and Rin and Satsuki routes will be 5+ hours long each. (30+ hours total).

Why u want the new version, dude? As far a I know it only has revised text, different typeface (Vera mono), and some corrected typos,am I right? if it was, you know.. revamped sprites, 16:9 720p res, added scenes or something like that, then of course It would be posted here. XD
